Have been a proud (almost kinda...) owner of a Toyota Prius since 2008; my first was acquired via private purchase of a 2003 "Electric Green" Prius; way overpriced and the woman selling would not budge on price because "well if you won't pay the $13,900, I'll find someone who will!" later emailing me about how I needed to make a decision ASAP due to other "interested buyers"; I overpaid by roughly $4k just to own that car!! But man let me tell you, for it being my first "adult car" I sure did love it!!

Fast forward to 2011; I traded in the good 'ol 2003 for a 2008 "certified used" Prius (Touring Addition!!! Holy cow!! ) only later to find out after my headlight(s) started going that I had HID lights and that Toyota would charge roughly $700 to replace both "lightbulbs"; that was my facepalm moment for sure!!

Do I love my Prius? Of course!! Would I ask more about the specs though of my 2008 while purchasing it? Absolutely!! Had I known about the stupid HID bulbs and their cost,as well as the pricier tire cost due to the"bigger wheels", I may have looked around longer to find something a little more affordable long-run maintenance wise in a Prius.

All in all, I'm lucky to have come across this forum and am super excited and interested it learning and reading current posts, and maybe even using this page to inquire about a few questions I need answers to myself....
