Hello. I’m hoping someone can give me advice on my Prius. It’s a 2015 hatchback with 94,000miles on it. About 2 months ago started noticing my steering getting stiff. Took into the shop and they said it’s probably an electrical problem and they couldn’t help me. Then took it to dealership and they quoted me $4,650 to fix it. Was told it was the post electric assembly(steering assembly control unit) and there is an internal shortage. For the repair $1400 whole dash assembly, $2,014 for post electric assembly, $703 power computer assembly. I paid $525 just for diagnosis then took it to another shop due to cost. That shop replaced a particular part for $1150. Still not fixed. So I’m out About $1675 and it’s not fixed. Please help if you have any suggestions.
