Just returned with my Prius from my Toyota dealer having had the brake problem (which I have to say I have not actually experienced) corrected by a software update which took about 20 minutes to complete. While there I saw a chart outlining vehicle recalls by manufacturer in the two year period January 2008 to February 2010. Toyota had 4 recalls; Honda 5; VW 6; Vauxhall 7; Renault 9; BMW 9; Fiat 12; Nissan 15; Ford 16; Peugeot 27; Citroen 33; Mercedes Benz 40! Yes 40. Puts things into perspective, don't you think.

Today though the driving experience was totally different... it was wonderful! I took her out for the whole day driving around town and from town to town and loved every single minute of it :)
She drives so smoothly, quietly... sitting in traffic was kinda funny, no noise from my car except my stereo!!

You will be amazed when you get your Prius at how different the drive is, and you wont be disapointed.. (it will take time to get used to i think !!)

Lets hope that the Prius brings cheaper times for us!! My corsa was costing me hundreds every month..it was getting ridiculous!!

What model are you getting? is it the T-Spirit? Thats the one I have..

I love all the new bits on the 2010 model!! the smartkey entry system looks cool!!

Hope you dont have to spend anymore on the 407 before you get the Prius too!!

I collected my Prius last night. the drive home with her was the worst drive ever, nothing2 do with the actual car 2 be hnest, just the awful weather!! torrential rain on the motorway, lots of roads flooded.
driving a new car 100+ miles in these conditions not a good idea!!
the fact that i am used2 everything being controlled by knobs or bottons and the Prius is controlled by either touchscreen/voice or controls on the steering wheel. (I had a few controls on the steering wheel in my corsa but this Prius is unbelievable! ) anyway what i am trying 2 say is driving in that weather and not knowing the car or its controls was hard work! The view is different 2, the side window beams are in a different place to the corsa, and seem much thicker, vision is restricted by the smaller back window which is spilt in 2.. all something that I will get used 2 in time of course...

I am soo excited about getting my Prius, in the mean time my 407 is in the garage AGAIN for some rubbish fluid to be topped up @ a whopping £200 - makes me so angry.

Decided to take the plunge and order the new model but didn't realize how long 12 weeks takes to pass.... only 10 more to go (i hope!).

Let us know when you collect yours!

Im waiting to pick up mine too, unfortunately not a brand new one, but 2003 (2004 hatchback model) but is a T spirit so got all the gadgets!!
