      Hello:

Since I am new at this (just picked up my Prius on Monday afternoon), I have a couple of questions. I put more air in my tires (Good Year Integrity) at 42/40 psi.
This was slightly lover than what I read to be recommended on this site. I was cautious because of warm weather expansion in the tires, and I wanted to get some feedback regarding this.

Also, I have been parking my prius without pressing down and engaging the emergency break. My home is on a level surface, and didn't feel the need to do so.
Since reading the Prius Quick Reference Guide, I have been depressing the parking brake, and then pushing down again on the parking brake to release it. This seems to start up the engine to where I hear it (and think it starts the engine on gas power). I was wondering if I can park my car without depressing the parking brake, and only need to press the Park (P) button to keep the car from rolling. I would only do this on level surfaces. When I start up the car again, I might save more fuel (or so it might seem). I have put almost 90 miles on the car, and the gas gage is still reading at full.
Please let me know what you think. I would also appreciate any other gas saving tips.

      Thanks.
