So recently I have had a deer hit my 2002 Prius. Thank god im okay and the only damage to the car was to my driver side mirror. It broke the mirror and the mirror backing. the housing unit and the motor to the mirror all work fine. I am in understanding that I will have to buy the whole side mirror assembly since the mirror backing was also broke. My question is, can I keep my current housing unit and motor that is on my car now and just remove the mirror with the backing from the new assembly and put it onto my car without breaking the mirror backing? Is that piece easily removed without causing hard to the whole assembly. thank you!
