    2009 Prius base. Roughly 46.6 average MPG over 23K miles. Napa 5w-30 synthetic. 67K miles and counting. Great car; no problems.
    Previous cars:
    2006 Hyundai Sonata GLS V6, auto - decent car, no major problems. Gas hog; 25mpg average. Traded for Prius!
    2002 VW Jetta GLS TDI, manual - great car, no major problems. Need to be handy with a wrench if you don't want to spend a fortune on basic maintenance. VW service departments are the worst; inept and expensive. Consistent 48-50mpg and 700 mile tanks were nice. Traded for Hyundai after moving to apartment with lack of space to perform maintenance. In hindsight, should have kept this car.
    1995 Dodge Caravan - Mitsubishi V6 liked gas; 22-25mpg.
    1992 Geo Metro - 3 cylinders of fury! Manual trans. 45-50mpg when not driven like 16 year old. These were selling for $3000 to $5000 when gas prices were spiking in mid-2008.
