To make a long story short, I need to another account on a GSM carrier (need to the use SIM intermittently in something else) in the US (already have an iPhone 3G, which will stay as my primary phone) and am looking to get an Android phone as a secondary phone. I'm not willing to pay for unsubsidized phones and don't need another iPhone.

That leaves w/my the choices of the G1, myTouch and Motorola Cliq. I've borrowed a G1 for a few weeks before and would rather not buy outdated hardware that's a bit clunky and bulky. So that leaves the latter two. Which would you buy if those were your only two choices and why?

(If I could be on CDMA, I'd probably buy the Verizon Droid or the (non-Android) Palm Pre.... but I can't. Long story...)

I've had no luck with Motorola since I replaced my analog motorola phone. That thing was bullet proof, every motorola phone I have had since was crap.
