Ordered (as a company car) on 13 October (Silver T Spirit with LED lights). I just had an E-mail this morning with an expected delivery date of 29 January 2010.

The company car tax incentives in favour of hybrid cars make it almost idiotic not to elect for either a Prius or Insight! We wanted more room than my current car (an Astra Sportshatch) so went for the Prius. It appears to have been the right decision.

I think I'm officially allowed to post now, as I've just placed my order for a new company car - Novus Grey T-Spirit with LED Technology Pack and Protection Pack. As Croft said above, all other considerations aside, the tax incentives make it a fairly simple decision.

The Prius will be replacing a five year old Vectra SRi 1.9 CDTi (150 bhp) which has been a decent all-rounder. I just need to sit out the 12 week lead time now!

Hi there. Placed my order for an 'Orion Blue' T-Spirit mid August and picked it up from the dealer Wednesday. Pics on the Forum if anyone interested. Love the lighter interior with the 'Orion Blue'.

Black T3 should be with me 27th Nov.
Ordered October so should be a 6 week wait overall (not bad).

Similar experience here, Vermilion Red T3 ordered some time early September (not too sure of the precise dates as it is a company car) and was delivered 19 Oct.

Ordered my T-Spirit company car with all the options (LED, technology, solar, leather).

Dealer placed the order on the 4th of November.

ETA is the 2nd of MARCH 2010.

By that time the plug version will be available :-(

    I was hoping for Jan.

Well, that's only a months difference given that February is only 28 days!

If it is any consolation my original 10 week wait now looks more like 8 / 9 weeks so it may still come earlier.

    T-Spirit in Blue
    Ordered 23rd Sept
    ETA 24th November

My Prius is now with the dealer:

    Date Ordered: September 13, 2009

    Date Received: November 20, 2009

I have to wait at least a week before driving her away though whilst the DVLA transfer my registration docs over (private plate).

    Finishing line is in sight!

My delivery date is getting close.... now expected to be with the dealer on 8th December.

I was just wondering if any UK owners have had their "reverse beeps" disabled, and whether you were charged?

I had mine done pre delivery and it was free. Not long to wait now. The last week or so does drag.

Jemca in Croydon refused point blank to change the reverse been to single. And even told me it wasn't possible. Rather soured the deal. I just keep the radio turned up loud, as it is indeed very annoying.

I am not one for complaining but I think a letter/email to Toyota UK would be what I would be doing.

Unfortunately even though we never had the multi beep my wife says "I am glad we only have the single beep" every time. That gets annoying. who do I write to about her??

    Hi All,

I collected my Prius last night, before it arrived i sent in my list of customized settings required and they were all done for me when i took delivery - all free. This included:

    Only 1 reverse beep
No beep for seat belt warnings
Changes to the cabin light time-out

and a few more. There is a downloadable manual in here (DM me if you can find it) with 5 pages of customizable options, I simple sent this to my dealer (Wayside Toyota, St Albans) and they had no problems at all...

Now i just want to go and play!

    Floppy.

Enjoy Floppy. If you are planning to use the HDD music, make sure the HDD rip setting is on excellent before transferring music to it. On good (the lower setting) it is poor especially at the top end.
I have deleted the stuff I had on there and am now redoing it.

My dealer said no problem for the reverse beep but wouldn't do the seat belt beep. I didn't ask for anything else.

Picking up the car this afternoon. :)
