    Hi -

Looking for an online source for new OEM parts. In particular, I'm looking for the exterior panel that runs below the 2010 Prius doors - from wheel well the wheel well.

The dealer gave me an estimate of $700 to replace the part. I'm trying to determine if I can find the part online and just replace it myself. Doesn't appear to be overly difficult to replace, and the dealer seems to have a huge mark up on the part.

Does anyone know if you can get 2010 body panels online?

    thanks

Sure. www.parts.com. It doesn't show 2010 as selectable choice but if you just enter the part number and hit search and it will return with discounted price. Add it to the cart and off you go.

You can ask for parts number from the dealer or, you can get it from here.

Choose electronic parts catalogue under Repair section. It's 3 Euro for 1 hour subscription. I tried it and cost me about $5 including international transaction fee. Well worth it. Enter your VIN and it only shows parts for your model. Browse the drawings and get the part number you need.

    Hello,

I just bought my first Prius..a 2010 model II. Unfortunately, I put a scratch on the same part you describe in your post. Being in a similar situation I'm wondering how did your experience play out? Did you order the replacement part on-line? Did you make the repair yourself? If so...how difficult was it. Anything you can share is very much appreciated.

    Thanks
