Now doesn't this look better? Used part # 42603-52110 it was perfect fit.

Funny (if not embarrassing) story: When our new Prius finally arrived at the dealership after a two month wait we had to sign the final paperwork before the car could be prepped because my husband had to leave on a 2 week business trip. While we were there the dealer brought our car up from the back lot to show it to us. Later when we were watching one of the salespeople drive our car across the parking lot, we noticed how nice the spinning alloy wheels looked. Not realizing the other Priuses on the lot had plastic wheel covers on them we thought our car probably came with upgraded wheels, which we surmised, must have been ordered originally by someone else.

Two days later when I went back to take delivery I was really disappointed to see the wheels on our car looked just like the wheels on all of other Priuses. So I asked the dealer why the wheels had been switched. At first he was completely confused by my question but then he realized what had happened and explained to me that it is typical for cars to be shipped without the wheel covers installed.

I wonder how they'd look with thin chome trim rings added?

Flat Narrow Chrome Trim Rings Stylish Look, Great Prices, AutoAmenity

Note, that I don't even know if they'll fit on the 2010 15" alloy wheel.

But they did fit on the Gen II Touring 16" alloy wheel and looked fantastic with the chrome center caps and lug nuts on that wheel:
    Tom,

Thanks to R7, I know these trim rings don't fit the 15" 2010 wheels, however, would the 15" version of these trim rings fit the 15" rims on a 2008 Prius?

    Tom

I wasn't initially a fan of the "covers off" look. but now i really dig em' as long as they're clean. they look a bit sportier than previous year's stock rims, but there's defeinitely much to be desired.

    anyhow

Just got mine today, much nicer than I thought they'd be...the texture on mine seems to be different from what I've been seeing on here. take a look:

Those are the 42603-52110's. The other ones are domed and mirror finish. I personally like the textured look.

I agree!!! I hadn't really thought about putting center caps on my winter wheels (the OE 15" alloys), put I do like the textured look. I would just like to confirm that they are the 42603-52110. Thanks.

Yes the 42603-52110 are textured. I ordered them from parts.com a few weeks ago.

Thanks very much. I just ordered a set.

EDIT: And unlike reported by others, they shipped from parts.com (Tampa FL) within 24 hours. So it looks like they have them in stock.

Although these are listed as a Yaris part, I noticed today that the stock center caps on my 17" wheels are also textured. Looking closely at the 42603-52110 center caps I received from Parts.com I noticed they have an additional part number (42603-52130). When I take off my 17" wheels, I will check to see if there is yet another part number.

My plastic hubcaps have fallen off a few times in the last 5 months. yesterday one was run over and is not useable anymore. I am ready to throw in the towel and buy the center caps. Can someone review what are the best ones to buy. The dealer said that they are about $19 each. The plastic hubcaps are over $80. It looks like people are happy with #42603-52110 from parts.com. Is that right?

I searched for that part # on parts.com and didn't find it, then I followed a link from earlier in this thread thinking I would get those but got the others. :(

How did you get that part # to come up so that you could order those textured caps?

    TRADE ANYONE?

Anyone with the flat textured caps want to trade for the smooth domed caps?

Yes. Or part# 42603-52030 which are shown earlier in the thread and are smooth and domed. If you want the smooth domed ones let me know, I got those when I wanted the others. Unless I can get parts.com to do an exchange.

It's a Yaris part number so I think you have to tell parts.com that you're looking for a Yaris part.

    1. Go to parts.com
    2. Click on the OEM Part Number Search left side towards the middle of page.
    3. Enter the Part Number ("42603-52030" smooth, " 42603-52110" - textured), select the Make ("Toyota")
    4. Click on the Search Button.

Note: this assumes their site is operational... lately it seems to have a lot of problems.

    Hope that helps...

Yes, thanks, except for one thing. The part number you have in your post is the one for the smooth domed ones that I ended up with.

Thanks for the search info though. I had put the part number in a different search box and nothing came up. I knew I should have waited until morning and called them...
