Does anyone have plastic hubcap covers that they are not using anymore? I am looking to buy some.

I still have 4... PM me if you need them.

How long have you been without them?

You may find you like it better without them... the center caps make the wheels look pretty nice.

But if you really want the covers, I still have mine and never intend to use them again.

I just wanted to consolidate into one post some of the info and pictures of the two types of center caps available and known to fit the 2010 Prius 15" wheel.

You can get these center caps from your dealer or any of the numerous online Toyota OEM parts sites. Prices below are from the parts.com site, which AFAIK generally has the lowest prices.

    A. Part # 42603-52030

This cap was for the 2004-2009 Gen II Prius 15" wheel.

But if you go to any of the Toyota OEM parts sites, you will have to plug in that you're looking for parts for a 2004, 2005 or 2006 Toyota Prius (don't ask why ... just accept the fact that the Toyota parts database that everyone uses is stupid, makes no sense, etc.).

This cap is domed, smooth and with the Toyota logo recessed. It looks like this:

    [IMGLINK]http://i86.photobucket.com/albums/k102/windstrings/Prius%202010/0903091033a.jpg[/IMGLINK]

It is available at parts.com for $10.48 each, plus $12.99 shipping for 4 caps.

    B. Part # 42603-52110

This cap was for the 2007-2009 Yaris wheels.

So if you go to any of the Toyota OEM parts sites, you will have to plug in that you're looking for parts for a 2007, 2008 or 2009 Toyota Yaris.

This cap is flat (or flatter), textured and with the Toyota logo raised. It looks like this:

    [IMGLINK]http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v605/davicusrex/07a03166.jpg[/IMGLINK]

It is available at parts.com for $10.43 each (that's 5 cents less than 42603-52030 lol), plus $12.99 shipping for 4 caps.

    * * * * * *

If you notice any error please speak up and I'll edit this post.

    * * * * * *

EDIT: As Spiderman has noted, the procedure for ordering by part number is simpler than I had suggested above. All you have to do is plug in the part number and make:

It might be worth mentioning that the textured center cap is also used on the Prius V 17" wheels. It's 2010 Prius part number might be 42603-52130 (although I couldn't get parts.com to take it).

I would order these, but the image on parts.com shows an x shaped Yaris cap (type 1),
the round one (type 2) shows a N/A?

Took me a while, but I finally see the issue you're raising.

On parts.com (or on any Toyota parts online vendor because they all use the same Toyota database):

    A. If you plug in the part number 42603-52110 for Toyota, one of the descriptions for the part describes it as a "Type 1 - Center Cap" for 2007-2009 for $10.43.

    B. But if you plug in that you're searching for parts for a 2007, 2008 or 2009 Toyota Yaris, and then drill down for Wheels - Covers and trim - Center cap - Type 1 it does describe the part as a Type 1 Center Cap for 2007-2009 for $10.43, but the schematic for this Type 1 cap (below #6) shows the x shaped Yaris cap, while the same schematic shows the round cap as the Type 2 cap (below #7):

    [IMGLINK]http://www.parts.com/schematics/8/8327190.gif[/IMGLINK]

I can't explain this discrepancy. I suspect it's an error in the Toyota parts database (as I said above and elsewhere, the database is stupid, makes no sense, sucks, etc.). I've seen other errors in the schematics in the Toyota parts database before.

But if I had to go one way or the other, I'd go with ordering the center caps using the 42603-52110 part number because that's the part number that was given by the PriusChatters for the round, textured center cap.

Hopefully some of the PriusChatters who have the round, textured center cap can explain or shed some light?

Does the 42603-52110 cap everyone is talking about work on the 2010 Prius II 15" wheels?

Yes, they all do. In fact that is what everyone is buying them for. The 17" already have them.

I just can't believe there are 16 pages of comments about center caps. There must not be much to do out there....

Boo/Tom , Tell me I've got nothing to worry about! Ordered the, what I hope will be the right center caps for the 15" wheels one week ago today. Got an e-mail from Parts.com that they had shipped the order, with a link to UPS for tracking------HOWEVER NO TRACKING # is in the e-mail. Have now e-mailed parts.com TWICE with no reply back, about where the tracking # is. Been a week ago today and wanted to know about my order, which hasn't arrived yet. Tried to find a Phone # to call them to no avail. Me wife went to the computer and tried to find something out about this firm, basically a phone#. I'M AFRAID WHAT'S ON THE COMPUTER ABOUT THIS FIRM IS NOT GOOD! Few people are pleased with them, and THEY NEVER ANSWER E-MAILS! Sooo, hopefully I'll get my parts, will give it more time, but then I'm going to get with my credit card firm and protest this charge if I don't get the parts and they are not right. I WILL keep the forum informed about this order. Tell me again I've got nothing to worry about.

You can trust Boo. I ordered the domed center caps from Parts.com, got the email saying they were shipped, and I didn't get a tracking number either. The caps arrived about two weeks after I ordered them and were exactly what I wanted. Step back, take a deep breath, and enjoy the center caps when you get them.

Thankyou guys for giving me confidence. I actually got the center caps the next day, and they were the right ones. I got the "textured" ones which are for the '07-'09 Yaris wheels. I couldn't get those "dorky" wheel covers off quick enough. It ended up it only took 8 days from the time I ordered the caps till they arrived. However I'm not sold on a firm that has such bad press online. I'm relieved to have gotten what I ordered and so quickly. And I guess I would never have known the difference, except that I got no tracking #, and wanted to know about my order. I figured so many people on here had suggested this source for the caps that I probably couldn't go wrong, but if you are going to use this source don't look up their track record first,-----scary!
Now it's just to get those mudguards! And the vertical cargo net.:thumb:

Among their strong points is that they have the lowest or near lowest prices on the net for OEM parts. If you don't like their customer communications, you can still use them as a price reference for when you order from another online vendor or your dealer.

For your mudguards and vertical cargo net, as well as other accessories, you might also consider ordering from the PriusChat Store. Their prices are reasonable and include shipping, and purchases from them helps support this great site. But they too, are not known for customer communications.

I got the textured ones within a week, no problem! I still haven't removed the wheelcovers yet, 'cause they do seem to keep the alloy's relatively free of the salty slush that coats everything here this time of year! However if I can be reassured that won't harm the wheel and cap's finish I'll happily tear them off tomorrow!

I ordered mine from parts.com. They came 3 days later. No issues. I even made a mistake in my order and ordered one seperately and then the remaining 3 because I misread instructions...I would be paying two delivery orders. Parts.com caught my mistake before I contacted them and put the order into one with only one delivery charge...saving me $10.49.

17" Wheel Center Cap - Not Chromed???

I saw a Gen 2 Prius with a center cap that was not chromed, but rather was the same silver alloy color as the wheel and trim ring.

Then I saw a Gen 3 / 2010 Prius with 17" wheels with center caps that also did not appear chromed at all, but seemed to be entirely the same color as the wheel.*

Can someone out there confirm whether the center cap on the 2010's 17" wheel is chromed, or is it the same silver color as the wheel?
    _______________

    * Unlike the 17" wheel's center cap that I saw at the unveiling of the 2010 Prius in January 2009 which was textured with a raised chrome Toyota logo.
