I have a European Prius from 2007 with build in Navigation. I moved to the US and took my Prius with me.
Because I didn't find any DVDs that worked with my unit, I am now looking for a used navigation unit, so that I just can switch the units under the seat.
    Help is highly apreciated.

I have the same problem having brought a 2008 Prius from Australia to the UK. Unfortunately the DVDs are region coded so the problem is actually removing the region code on the data DVD so that your unit will recognise it. Replacing the unit under the passenger seat will not work because that is just the data disk player, it is the onboard processor that reads the region code from the disk. Replacement of the OEM sat nav is a huge and expensive undertaking, I will post if I find a way to get by the region coding which I am told is feasible.

Christian, have you tried calling Toyota at (800) 331-4331 to ask them what can be done to allow the use of the North America NAV DVD in your European Prius?

I tried this in the UK both through my local dealer and directly with Toyota UK technical help and customer relations. The local dealer was really helpful but got the brush off from Toyota head office. The dealer's research led to the region code as being the issue. Toyota UK were really off hand with me telling me my car was an unsupported import and they wouldn't help!
