In the L.A. area Katzkin recommends Coach Auto Restyling in Orange. They are easily the biggest and most qualified installers. Give them a call at: 714-639-8236.

    Sorry all,

I have not had a chance to contact them. Probably will contact them next month. It is the busy season at work.

I would love to join a group buy depending on price and where the installation would be. Do you have a link to the thread?

    Thanks,

    Chan

I'd be in for a group buy as well (depending on the details, of course)

I would just add - I got the premium Katz (on sale for sale cost as regular), and they are really a perfect mix. As good or better than our Lexus... I had them installed in Orange - they do dealers and *know* the gen III Prius... Takes around 3 hrs to tear apart he car, and put it back together...

I actually dropped my RX8 off at the dealer yesterday to get Katzkin leather. I checked out Classic Soft Trim and they were ok, the dealer I used said she use to use CST-but the workmanship has gotten sloppy . Quality wise, I believe both leathers are comparable. I have a Nordic Green '04, I'm going with black seats with tan inserts and tan door panels, with custom logo embroidered in door panels. I'll take pics once I get the car back. Price installed was $1400 including tax, CST quoted me a similar price. The work is warrantied for 4 years 50,000 miles. From my inspection of both manufacturers quality--go with the cheapest, but make sure the install shops are good though.

Since the thread is moving back around, I'll drop in my 'expert' advise...

First, autointeriorslive.com has a very nice promotion for Toyotas and Katzkin right now - $190 off Tuscany (upgraded leather - in effect, you get the upgraded soft leather for less than normal leather). For most, by the time you read this, the offer was long expired - but the site seems to have the best prices and support...

The kit should be installed by someone else (please read this thread http://priuschat.com/forums/gen-iii...tions/70247-katzkins-diy-i-dont-think-so.html ). There are good pics, and I love the thing - my replacement car comes tomorrow - and the exact things are going back in....

If you are in New York, I had my kit installed at superior auto in westbury, ny. their # is 516-997-8787. they also sell the kits on their website at shopsar.com. i purchased 2 kits from them so far and my company has been using them to install kits in several company cars over the past couple of years.. the install was reasonable and the kits were about $700 a piece.

It seems there are three kits for the 2010. Katzkin, Bartlett, and Pecca. I tried my best to get info on the Bartlett - but found literally zilch (other than website - have read in the past that they have good stuff - but couldn't find info on the company). Pecca seems to have a good cost effective option - but again, little info. I'd love to see pics from users on these...

I went back to Katzkin - mostly because when I called, they had a promotion for $190 off the upgraded leather (softer - better). Net net seems to be $740 for the upgraded kit ($650ish for non).

As confirmation, when I bought my car, in conversation, it came out the dealer uses both Katzkin, and Coach installers. So I save a few $$$. I'm pretty sure if you get dealer, you do not get the upgrade.

I'm sure all the kits are comparable - I've done the Katz, and like the outcome. We'll see how the next same same comes out...

If you have Bartlett or Pecca, post your pics!

Coach Automotive Restyling in Orange quoted me $1350 for my 2006 Prius. If the leathers cost around $700 then they are charging $650 for installation. Isn't that too much? I saw other members getting it done at $1000 which I think it's a resonable price. Anyone know any good installer in Los Angeles/ Orange County area?

Hi all, I'm new to the forum so hopefully my first post will be a helpful one, I know Alot of people are trying to find the best price and place to install the Katzkin kit for their pries. As I'm writing this msg, I'm sitting in the waiting room at coach automotive waiting to get my Katzkin kit install. I was able to negotiate with them and get the price down to $1000 out the door for kit with installation, which I believe is a fair price. If you are looking for the same deal, ask for Robert when you call coach automotive and tell him Jackie send you. I'll post pix when the finish installing. Hope this helps !!!
