    Hi Everyone,

I recently bought a 2nd hand 2006 Prius 3 months ago and the glove box has an ipod/iphone cable that connects to my iphone.

Unfortunately, I do not know which version the cable is as I bought the vehicle 2nd hand off a dealer and after a few searches I realised there are quite a few different versions - Stock, DICE, coastaletech etc Hopefully someone can make it clear which version I have from this info -
    • I live in Sydney, Australia - if that makes a difference to what versions are available to me
    • The cable charges my iphone when connected
    • I could control the iphone from both the MFD and steering wheel controls in regards to next song etc

This cable has been working perfectly for the last 3 months, but today, when I tried to connect the cable to my phone, the audio system froze and didn't detect the phone so I tried pressing the CD button a few times hoping that the system would detect my phone. Usually if the system hangs, I can just press the POWER button to turn the audio system off and press DISC to turn the audio system back on and the iphone detected and music starts playing again. But all of today it has been telling me "NO CD" whenever I press DISC no matter how many times I reconnect it.

If I put a proper CD into the player, this works fine. I have also tried connecting my friends Iphone with the same result of "NO CD" so I think its the actual cable that has a problem and not our phones. The cable still charges the phone if that means anything.

Anyone have ideas on what is wrong and how to fix this?
Any help much appreciated! Thank you!

Did you find a solution to your problem? I am located near the Sydney CBD and I have had some experience with these kind of stuff. If you want I can have a look at your car and find out what could possibly be wrong.
