    Hi all,

    New to priuschat here.

Just purchased a prius III with nav + usb input. I have a zune HD and found out promptly that it doesn't work. I know I can use the aux input, but I'd rather use the usb to get controls and charging.

Has anyone here found a solution to this? I'd be willing to get an aftermarket accessory, I saw some audio box for $300ish that can be hooked up. However I am not willing to open anything up in the car in terms of installation. If I am missing something, I apologize I looked at common threads and none of them were about the zune HD.

Maybe its time to trade it in for an Ipod :). JK. Does the Zune have Bluetooth, if so you can always use that.

I don't know what type of USB connection is on the Zune side but it could be the cable.

I had to struggle to get the new Moto Droid to work with USB which uses a microUSB connector on the device. Some cables would charge the phone others wouldn't. The key for the Droid was to set the SDCard as a USB Mass Storage device before connecting to the USB plug. Its probably very different on a Zune since the Droid essentially runs a Linux OS.

After getting the USB to work I was disappointed with the limitations of the featureset. Once the Droid supports the advanced BT AV profile I'll stick with bluetooth.

Hehe I'd get a ipod if I didn't have to use itunes:p Plus I love the OLED screen on the zune. It doesn't have bluetooth or I'd use that, and the cable is proprietary. So far I'm just using a flash drive, but I hate how it sorts it by the last folder (which is albums for me). I don't want to rearrange all my song titles to use it well (plus it's slow imo).

I do and love it. But my Prius doesn't have USB, being one of the earlier 2010 models. So, it's aux in for me.
