The ScanGauge web site mentions their firmware version 3.14 as the "first" X-Gauge version. They say that 3.15 has a "fix" for the Prius, presumably a pre-2010 (Gen II) Prius. I found no mention of other versions.

Now, the "new" (almost new) Scangauge II that I just bought reports a 3.17 version number. Is that the latest?
Any idea what was has changed or been added?

Using Fuel = Hybrid and Tank = 10 gallons (after a reset to Defaults) ...
Should the Engine size for the 2010 Prius be 1.8 L?
Apparently there is no place for number of cylinders?

I see that the Water Temperature (FWT) rises to about 109F, and this "F" is displayed as a special "degrees-f" symbol. Is that symbol new?

The RPM dropped (properly) to zero ( 0RPM) after the motor warmed up and quit running.

Please, what X-Gauges have been successfully used with the 2010 (Gen III) Prius?

    Thanks, Gary

I understand how to use X-Gauge once the special "codes" are known.

There are some Prius-specific codes that have been found for the GenII Prius,
and others are still trying to find some other codes that work there.
They are even experimenting with ver 3.18f, apparently an un-released version of the SG firmware.

I would like to find a list of the codes that are tested and known
to work on the GenIII Prius.

A list of well tested (not experimental) codes for the GenII might be interesting also,
but my understanding (so far) is that most do not work on the GenIII Prius.

    Thanks, Gary

Wouldn't we all... I think Ken@Japan will likely be the first to crack em.

It's not surprising that none work on your 2010 Prius. That looks like a list for 2nd gens (04 to 09 models). I seriously doubt updating to newer firmware on you SG will make a difference.

Someone needs to figure out what's available on the 2010 and what values to enter.

I have a 3.17F unit which I upgraded several months ago to this. According to their site this is the newest, but someone on here said they have a 3.18... Not sure if that's out yet.

All the Gen II codes don't work on the Gen III except MPH/KMH (passive.)

There are two new codes now for Gen III:
    http://priuschat.com/forums/gen-iii...06-scangaugeii-work-2010-a-5.html#post1037593

And you can disable the Reverse beep with the SGII (see post 38 on the thread above)

More stuff will be coming -- it just takes time. All those codes for the Gen II took years to be found out.

Well, think about it like your electric meter on your house. It counts up (positive) for power usage ... and if you could put power back into the grid (like if you had solar) it would count down (or show negative power) when you were using less than you were generating.

Power normally flows out of batteries so ammeters on them read positive for power usage, and negative if you charge.

I just moved my old V3.15 Scangauge II (was on a VW TDI Diesel) to my 2010 Prius.

i got this response back from Scangauge today so it should be the latest official word on versions.
