I tried searching and could not find an answer to this simple question (simple for someone else perhaps but not for me!) - When in the Set-up screens for the Multi-Function display, what does the ECO ON/OFF selection turn on/off exactly? The paper manual does not help (it just repeats that ECO is turned on/off!! geez, what an explanation or maybe I am dense.)

I'm guessing here since I never messed with that selection, but probably the ECO driving indicator light which lights up above the hybrid driving indicator bar when driving in an 'eco conscious' way and disappears when into the red power band area.

I can only think of one selection it would contol.

I would think that the ECO ON/OFF indicator would turn off the ECO light above the Hybrid Monitor Display, when using TRIP A/B and watching the guage as you drive. I would think it would disable the ECO light from showing when your in the ECO area of the graph.

This way you can watch the bar graph versus the ECO light.

On page 200 of the Owners Manual it says that you can switch the "Eco Driving Indicator Light" on or off On page 192 of the manual, it identifies the "Eco Driving Indicator Light" as the ECO light within the Hybrid System Indicator (HSI).

So, the guesses are correct. Setting this feature off will cause the ECO light to no longer be displayed on the HSI.

This ECO driving indicator also appears in the 1/5 minute fuel consumption graph display screen. I imagine it would affect this screen as well.
