I plan on installing a carputer for my 2010 Prius using the 12V battery to power the Mini ITX PC.

However, just want to make sure that the battery will not die (or any other damage happening elsewhere in the car) since not too sure how things work in a Hybrid system.

There is no alternator, the 12V battery is charged by an inverter fed by the traction battery whenever the car is in "Ready". The two 12V power outlets are fused at 10 Amps. http://priuschat.com/forums/gen-iii...-discussion/66563-max-amps-power-outlets.html
