I have been calling and stopping in at dealers and the best quote I got for option 1 is 22K. Is this a good deal or is there better? If so, where at? Thanks!

did you call Longo already? they tend to be the best in terms of deals/ volume pricing. Also, if you are a costco member, try going thru the Costco Auto Program. (use it all on line at Costco.com). They will refer you to a dealer that offers "preferred" pricing for Costco. however, even though there is no special pricing currently for the Prius, some of their dealers they work with are willing to give a small bread (maybe a $100 or $300 off)...

Let me know where you end up going in SoCAl..

Check out the dealers section of |PriusOnline|.

Then, try Dianne Whitmire of Carson Toyota (310.522.2317). She has a lot of history with the Prius and PriusChat.

If you want to go with Longo, it's part of Penske and its other probably more available 'outlet' is Toyota of Rancho Santa Margarita. Try fleet/internet manager there Chip Kochendorfer @ [email protected] (949.766.2062 (Direct)), but don't ever go there for service.

Check out AAA's auto buyer's program too which will refer you to a local AAA associated dealership which 'might' be participating in the haggleless pricing. Might because the Prius tends to be too popular to be anything but MSRP.

DO NOT go to Toyota of Orange. They have cute commericals, but all the salesmen there are snake oil men, and they try to tack on unnecessary 'extras' like "chrome wheels".

A year ago, April, the Costco referral dealer (Toyota of North Hollywood) offered me a car at $5,000 over MSRP.

I spoke with Diana from Carson today and she was able to meet the 22K but not beat it. The 22K I was quoted was from a guy in Longo. Thanks for the advice. I guess 22K is the best price I can get.

Ya, they did that to me too, unlike most of the other dealerships I checked out at the time in Feb'05.

Now I just stare and laugh at them when I drive by every day.

From Toyota.com, 22K is MSRP. There's another dealership somebody mentioned before.. Toyota of West Covina? (doesn't sound very central CA) was doing 1K below MSRP or something like.

    Check out this |thread|.

I just got mine from Longo Toyota.

    '05 Pkg3 + accesory pkg = $22,877 + some free gear

Third car from them in 1.5 years. Great service and had the MOST amount of Prius in stock. Definetely worth going there!

The only downside (at almost all dealers) is the Toyota financing. With a FICO of 740+ they will offer you 7.85% or 6.85% with any luck.

How long was the wait at Longo? They had me] 9 months back in Jan.

My Toyota dealership got me 4.49% for 60 months through a CU. I think you could dig a bit deeper.

No wait at all. Walked in and bought one on the same day. They had about 30 in stock, 1/2 of those were sold and the rest available.

    Dianne @ Carson

    is me!

    =17]http://69.93.188.20/~tundraso/fleet/showro...ta[model_id]=17

is where my current inventory is posted, and those cars are mostly here. A few are still in transit/afloat, but I get them so fast in the pipeline that all in tranbsit are practically here anyway. Just reach me directly for the pricing. I cannot post my fleet discounted pricing to the internet because the retail sales department's customers sometimes look thru our inventory. It's important to call me at 310-522-2317 for my Priuschat pricing.

    What is a CU NuShrike?
I got a pretty high APR offer. Anyone know a good bank or private loan company that has low APRs?

I am not NuShrike, by CU is an abbreviation for Credit Union.

I had many promises from many dealers in the So Cal area.....lots of misinformation from the dealers already mentioned here in this thread. Let's just say......I wouldn't trust any dealer in Orange County....because I tried to deal with them all.....

I love talking about the deal I got!
I ended up completing my fully loaded Prius deal strictly over the phone with Quality Toyota of Corona for $700 UNDER MSRP. This happened on Easter Sunday of this year....no questions asked and no tricks!

I used my CU for financing and got 4.5%

    Good luck!
