Do you use a 3rd party GPS Unit in your Prius (Gen III) such as Garmin, Tomtom, pioneer etc? What unit have you brought? Any quirks that we need to know about when we buy one for prius?

Garmin ZUMO 660........mounted near the driver side portal....like this..........
    http://priuschat.com/forums/gen-iii...ftermarket-portable-gps-in-non-nav-prius.html
The pic is not my installation...mine is mounted just a bit forward, closer to me. The Zumo is based on the Nuvi, tho, so they look very much alike.
    Works great, looks great.
I'm using the provided power cord routed down to the outlet under the dash...........
When I want to use it on the bike or am not it the car (for security purposes), I just disconnect it from the mount.
IMHO, You can't do better than a Garmin...simple, easy, effective.........
