I was told today that the prices on Toyotas are going up, and the Prius will be $300 more starting August 1st. This is because GM can't sell their cars.
I did hear that before but didn't know it was going to be that soon. Anyone know if that's true?

    Heya,

Uh... $300 bucks? Is that even noticeable on a $26k purchase???

Maybe I'm in the minority, but I've always been amazed at how underpriced the Prius is.

    This increase is relative.

6 months ago, it was rare to buy under MSRP.

With the apparent Prius bubble burst today however, it is common to buy now @ more than $300 under MSRP!

In August that will still be cheaper than 6 months ago! ;)

At the current exchange rate, your $26k fully loaded Prius is less than my midrange Prius.
