    Hello.

When listening to satellite radio, the left channel is very weak while the right channel is seemingly normal. Obviously, this results in an imbalanced and less pleasant listening experience.

This problem does not occur when listening to other sources like FM or CD.

Any ideas? Thanks for looking. I hope someone can help!

    Cheers.

I would take the car back to the Dealer.
Sounds like the left channel is...
A- plug is not seated properly, either at the HU end or the XM rcvr end.
B- the unit is defective and the Left output is LOW and a replacement is in order!
C- The fact the other sources are balanced OK, indicates the problem IS specific to the XM module!!!

Let us know what the dealer finds.
    Good Luck

Does your car allow you to adjust the balance of each device separately like the 2010? In the 2010, you can adjust each device independently of each other, FM, AM, SAT, CD etc. A quick check could let you know whether the balance may have been misadjusted on the SAT radio.

emassistant, go in check the balance setting for XM mode....

Thanks for the responses. The audio settings / balance was the first thing I checked when I noticed the issue. It's set to dead center on all sources. Not sure if it saves changes by source but I will check.

I'll take it to the dealer and see if they actually help me out. I can't say that all of my dealer service interactions have been as good as we might hope. But I won't give up!

Thanks again for the responses. I'm subscribed to this thread in case more ideas come to mind.
