Husky Liners now available for 2010 Prius

Yeah, I have a Husky for the cargo area in our Yukon and while it is a nice quality mat, I find it comes up a bit short when compared to the quality of the Weathertech we bought for the Prius.

For the small price difference, I would recommend the Weathertech cargo liner. Can't comment on the floor mats as I have tried neither.

 

I have Husky's on a different car and Weathertechs on my 2010 Prius...Weathertechs are WAY better quality, thickness, and more "rubbery" and less "plasticy" than the Huskys...then again, the Husky's are a bit cheaper and are still a very good upgrade from the OEMs. Can't really go wrong with either.

 

The front looks really cool. Do the Weathertech mats form like this up on the "dead pedal"?

I have the WeatherTech and the fit is perfect. It's exactly what I was looking for.

 

The Husky mats look like a lot better design. When WeatherTech designed their mats for the Gen Prius they never tested them. The lowest spot of the mat is the lower left side of the mat. This is where all the water flows from your shoes. Here are some pics.





The WeatherTech are worthless on days with a lot of snow. The Husky liners seem to have very high walls in that area and the holes have covers so the water does not flow into the peg hole like that pic I have above.

 

It would be nice to have someone advise on the Husky brand in heavy snow.

 

I would like to see that also. That pic was taken in very light snow with me shaking the snow off my shoes. I have the mat propped up so the water flows more to the center of the mat. Every day it snows I take a towel and soak up all the water.

 

Has anybody here bought the Husky brand? If no response to this thread shortly I will buy it. I think that the water shown in that pic seaping through the weathertech liner is unacceptable. Weathertech and Husky have a lot of "which is best" threads, but having walls everywhere and channels is almost a waste of time if the water can just get through that little hole, I mean seriously.

Husky is a touch cheaper though I'm not sure if it has free shipping. WT is definitely well rated in other vehicles so it's overall a good mat but I will get the husky because a) It's a scant bit cheaper and b) I understand it has some kind of cover system for the peg holes.

 

Check out the thread by PapaGallo he has pictures of the Huskies in his car. I just ordered mine on Friday, I got the first and second row liners and the cargo liner. If you live in the contiguous 48 shipping is free, I had to pay $10 for each item, total of $20 to get them out here to Oahu. I had a set of WeatherTech's on order and they wanted $80 to ship it to me. I cancelled the order then ordered the Husky Liners.

Thanks, I just found his thread and ordered them. autoanything free shipping and keep5 code I got all out to me for $100 (well, just front and back--did not need trunk). Seems a better buy than the weather tech, particularly in light of not having the peg hole issue.

 

Received my Husky Liners friday and installed them yesterday. I really like them. Fit nicely. The Weathertech were not an option since they did not cover the whole dead pedal.

 

I ordered the front and rear Huskies in black this week from Amazon.com for $104. A little more, but I get lots of Amazon points.

Yes, I just did and installed them last week in my new 2010 IV with Misty Gray interior. I got them in the gray color and I'm very happy with them. Perfect fit, nice deep wells, look very custom and solid. Super easy install. You must remove the factory carpet mats if you got those, as the Husky Weatherbeaters are meant to fit on top of the base carpet.

Two thumbs up on them!

Just bought grey front and rear liners...for $98.52 at Amazon.com. I have OEM cargo rubber mat...love that one.

 

Mine showed up today, will comment once they're in the car which is currently drying out, but shipped in a timely manner from autoanything. Also its online ordering was awesome, better than amazon, even. I was diddling around for a while and a popup came offering me live assistance, which I did have to use (my bad).

 

skoorbmax, how much did you pay? Did you get the front and rear liners and/or cargo mat?

Installed. I've not seen the weathertech in person but these fit well and don't have the peg hole issue. I cannot imagine paying $70 more for a product more inclined to leak!
