We see Prii commonly in Seattle and Tacoma but the density in Port Angeles, WA exceeds both.

Talked with a new owner around here last week: a 2005 in Seaside Pearl. Had SS/SE but no NAV.

Saw another Seaside in Wilmington NC over the weekend...

Well, I got my first bombardment of Prius today.

    6 Yellow Cabs
    2 Black Top Cabs
2 Silver Classics (1 private, 1 City of Richmond)
1 Securiguard (some company in yellow with two black strips down the middle of the car - think Dodge Viper)

Total of 11, beat my old total by ~2x

I was on vacation in the OUter Banks of North Carolina and saw six Prii. One, I think, either lives there or was driven their for vacation because I saw it parked in front of a house on the main road.

I "tagged" a black Prius with a Priuschat business card in a grocery store parking lot. Even on vacation I have cards in my wallet to "spread the word"

Yeah, I've gotta start carrying some of those cards.

Twice in the last month, I've come out of a restaurant and found another Prius parked next to mine. Of course, no driver remained to chat with, but I was amused by the other red Prius having:

    1. a Chicago vehicle sticker (lives there)
    2. license plate frames from Hecht Toyota in Effingham (bought there)

I also enjoyed finding the silver Prius parked next to me. I was not only at dinner, but also at a Classic Car Show where the Prius is not (yet) officially welcome. So I enjoy parking the "instant classic" nearby and walk around to look at the Studebakers, Thunderbirds, and other magical cars (it was both Mustang Night and the Harry Potter release party in town).

I see this sight every morning as I open my garage:

My 2001 Prius, that my Daughter is now driving. It has about 90,000 miles on it.

My 2005 Prius, that I currently drive (that my Daughter eyes with envy).

My 2006 Highlander Hybrid, that we just had to have! :)

And a whole street full of gas-guzzling, smoke-belching, ear-damaging, hunks of metal on wheels! HA!

    What a life! :)

I saw 2 yesterday on the drive home from work, and got a wave (my first) from a Seaside Pearl one that was coming towards me, in the other lane.
Then later, a black one passed me on the turnpike, no wave.

There are so many Prii in CA that I can't go out without seeing at least three during my short 10 minute commute. Not a novelty here like in some other states. Not even here in Bakersfield (the truck/SUV/Hummer capitol of CA).

I see them occasionally, but they are still rare enough that it makes me smile to see another on the road. I have seen a Driftwood Pearl a couple of times on my commute. Yesterday I passed a Seaside Pearl in northern NJ and we both waved.

Only had mine for a week, they are fairly common in the DC area, generally see at least one per day. Was in Salt Lake City and Oklahoma City this week, didn't see any. Saw two Escalades parked at the sushi place in OKC, no Prii.

Got back to BWI and saw another Driftwood parked in the same row in the daily garage. Guessing Prius are still regional with many of them on the east & west coasts.

    Cheers,
    Jeff

I spent 9 months driving across the USA last summer and then travelling around the world. Here are the places I saw 2004+ priuses:

    Prius sightings travelling
    - 2 in Dallas, TX
    - 1 Houston uptown, TX
    - 1 Towards louisiana on hwy 10, MS
    - 1 Tulsa in park silver BC by mine, OK
    - 1 by UU church in Colorado Springs, CO
    - 4 driving thru rocky mtn nat park, CO
    - 1 Yellowstone (official painted), WY
    - 2 bend, OR
    - 1 Sebastopol, CA
    - 1 Vancouver
    - 1 Amsterdam
    - 2 Ireland
    - 1 Bangkok
    - 1 Melbourne

It was interesting that I didn't see any in Florida.

Now that I'm back in the San Francisco Bay area, I see them several times a day at least. In fact as I type this I can see two of them in the parking lot outside.

The one in Yellowstone park was painted up with graphics of the park on the sides. The one in Vancouver was a yellow taxicab.

Well, I am sorry you didn't pass my way.
I occasionally see a Prius here, but not as often as I would expect.

I was in Malibu California over the 4th of July weekend and could not go 3 minutes on PCH without seeing one, and sometimes 3 and 4 at the same time. For the first time in my life I felt like a conformist :?

I usually see one a day during my commute to and from school in Milwaukee. I saw my very first white one last week. Now I can't decide if I should get my 06' Prius in blue, white, or silver... they all look so great.

Just to give everyone an idea of what it's like here in the Bay Area, I just took a mini road trip up to Petaluma and back. 124 miles. I saw 16 Prii along the way. A quick calculation shows me that's a Prius every 7.75 miles. I'd say that's about average around here. I think it's all the ex-hippies. :p

This is what I love about Fort Collins, Colorado:

    1) You have an option to get your electricity solely from wind power generated in Wyoming (and it doesn't cost much more at all!)

    2) There are recycling places everywhere - and the trash service picks recycling goods up too!

    3) Fort Collins has built a hydrogen fueling facility - only one of a few in the U.S. Also, they are testing out the new fuel (less polluting, supposedly better gas mileage) in their buses.

    4) There are Priuses EVERYWHERE!!! I mean ALL OVER THE PLACE!! I always see several on my jaunts into town. There are several Classic models, but definitely a multitude of the '04s and '05s. It's beautiful!!

    5) I can go on...and on....and on....

    :D
