Does anybody have this problem, driving at street speed, suddenly notice that my cruise control light is ON for no good reason, obviously I did not turn on the CC. the car does not accelerate or anything but just worried that it may someday. The first time it happened I thought i must have touched it by accident but the second time it happened I knew it wasn't me.

Re: G3 Prius Cruise Control Problem

The CC indicator means you have the CC turned on with the push button in the end of the stock, you can turn it off the same way and the indicator will go out. If you actually set a speed into it the set light will come on also. The CC defaults to off when you turn the car off so it shouldn't be on unless you turn it on.

Are you sure you didn't turn it on with your knee, and didn't know it?

the first time, it happened, I assumed that it must be me, the second time made me wonder if that switch is defective in any way. , I have used CC before, so I am very familiar with the operation of the switch. thanks for the reply just wanted to see if anyone else had similar issues.

it does beg the question - why is the CC lever is so low on the steering wheel and why it rotates with the steering wheel. My other car is a Volvo. Maybe this is standard for all Toyotas, the Prius is my first Toyota
