    Greetings, all..

I may be as dense as a brick, but I can't seem to figger out how to delete a one-touch phone entry. Somebody hep me..

BTW, Blast the fact that you can't xfer a phonebook from a Moto v710.

Anybody tried a workaround with a PC. Hmmmm. I bet it knows it's not a fone....arrgh.

    TIA!

I want to be on the reply list for this too.

Does anyone know of a way to manually add names/numbers to the phone book, since the v710 won't transfer the info.

Failing that, how do I add names/numbers to the 18 one touch phone lists?

You cannot manually add numbers to the phonebook. There is just no way.

You can add numbers to the one touch by selecting from the outgoing and incoming numbers. This will add the phone number but NOT the name. That means the button box will look blank but will still be functional when the car is moving. By tranferring from a phone or bluetooth PC and phone you get the advantage of getting the name also so when the car is moving you still know what that button does.

I have also been successful with a bluetooth iPAQ and a bluetooth phone in combination, where the phone alone could not transfer.

I believe you can just rewrite over the one you want to delete...check the nav manual

This is what my Nav Manual says (maybe yours does too!)

"Delete the one touch dial -
    from the Telephone Settings Screen
    Touch the “Delete†switch of “One
    Touch Dialâ€.
Select the desired number from the list.
If you want to delete all the one touch dial,
    touch the “Delete All†switch.
    Touch “YES†switch.
Touch “NO†switch and the previous screen
    appears."

A little confusing but the pix in the manual help....

Well, Dang. Could not have been easier. Doh!! Even read the manual!! Must have missed it.

All wasn't lost, tho. Got some other great info in the process.

    Thanks, all..
