    Non-sensical. Not even mildly amusing.

    Phile,
I believe you that you are an earnest person and not trying to bash Toyota. Unfortunately, the media has decided to blow the whole Toyota deal out of proportion, and loyal Toyota owners are frustrated. What car manufacturere hasn't had a recall or two?

Please don't park your Prius in your garrage, because that is no fun, and the brakes feeling a little different is not a real safety issue. If you have ever stopped on snow and ice, and felt ABS brakes pulsing, it takes some getting used to, but in the end, you should realize the computer is stopping you faster than if you went into a skid.

Now, if the ABS brakes also help you to stop faster when you are driving over a slick railroad crossing or potholes with loose gravel collected in them, that is also a good thing too.

Bottom Line is that all the Toyotas are safe to drive unless there is a sticking accelerator that has been neglected for way to long already.

Thank you. I, too, am frustrated with media coverage--lots of schadenfreude out there. Even before the recall, I already had neo-con type haters try to bait me--you know Obama wants to tax your Prius b/c it doesn't consume enough gas, or my TDI get better mileage than your Prius. Also, I have been cut off by SUVS on interstates for no reason except that I am driving a Prius. On the plus side, my Prius exudes good karma and receives gracious smiles from strangers.

I know that Toyota and Prius will weather this storm... Some of the late nite jokes are very funny. Even if it's at my own resale expense... It'll bounce back.

Alright, I'm not going to babysit this thread. Stop it with the bashing of each other, keeping things going by pointing to other posts only fuels the fire. This thread is closed. We, the moderators, are growing tired of playing babysitter deleting posts and handing out infraction for insistent bickering and name calling.
