I see you have made your mind, but I would check around to get everything you like. Although I have the car you want the bluetooth is grand, the sound system is awesome the color well like some have mentioned is very popular. I'm sure the blue (as it was my 2nd choice) will be nice with the III options. See if they will turn off the backup and seat belt beeps and unlock ALL doors before you leave. Make note to self so you don't forget. I've had mine for 3 months and these 3 things I wish I had known before I purchased now I'm conspiring ways to turn them OFF!!!

That's one thing I noticed when I test drove one. When I was backing up, and I heard the beeping, I had thought that there was a truck nearby me, so I stopped and looked around ... before I realized the beeping acoustics were so clear that it was the Prius! I'll definitely make sure to request this before I leave the dealership. :)

Obviously the Toyota lost ;) ... the car was totaled. The fortunate part of this battle was that the truck I had hit was A LOT higher than the Echo and it also had a huge block-hitch attached to it at the time, so it just annihilated the engine and left the front bumper intact. The paramedics, police officer, and the insurance accident field reporter said that the speed I had hit the truck, I was lucky to walk away from it alive. Had the airbags deployed, they said that I would have died because of my eyeglasses—which I don't wear anymore because of that reason.

So after 10 years, I'm getting a Toyota! I've always liked Toyotas, but couldn't really "afford" one for small car. Considered the Corolla over the Civic couple of times, but the comparable options and availability made the Civic a "better-suited" purchase at the time ($$$ vs Quality).

A bit of my car purchase history...

    2000 Toyota Echo
    2001 Honda Civic
2003 Honda Civic (the one I'm trading in for a Prius III)
    2006 Nissan Xterra
2008 Nissan Titan (traded the Xterra for this beast—considered the Tundra, but the Titan was a "bigger" truck)
2.20.2010 Toyota Prius III Blue Ribbon Metallic

Me too. Now, I need to wait until my 5K miles and hope they don't change me to do it.

Also, if I may, perhaps, they can sticky something like "before purchase what you need to do" and this will be a perfect place for the future buyers to do that.

Cool, thanks! Never considered the eyeglasses bit.

I went to test drive a Prius, and the only question the salesman asked me was "leather, or no leather?". I said "no", and Blue Ribbon Metallic it was. It's a III, and I wanted the Bluetooth, because I might move to California, where it's against the law to drive while talking on a hand-held cell phone. But I like the white, also, and, especially in the desert in SoCal, it might make more sense than the blue, for reflecting heat. It gets up to 120 out there in the summer. I also like the two-tone interior on the white, but the sparkle of the blue, when it's nice, and sunny, which it hasn't been much since I got mine, is beautiful. I hope you enjoy yours. I have no regrets since getting mine.

So you go from a 5.6L V8 to a 1.8L I4. You must be looking forward to buying your first tank of gas!
