I've had my Prius IV for a couple of months now and I'm at my wits end on the following issues with the JBL sattelite radio and I can't find an answer one way or the other.

    Scanning Channels
How do I just scan radio stations 01, 02, 03, etc. When you scan, it scans by category and if you want to navigate the channels consecutively, you have to hit the seek button 200+ times to get through the entire channel log. Anyone know how to solve this?

    Automatic Map Screen
How do I keep the radio information screen (displays song title, artist, etc.) on? When looking at the information, it automatically jumps back to the map screen. I assume there is an option "SOMEWHERE" that allows the user to control the automatic jump, but I can't find it anywhere. Anyone know how to solve this?

    Thanks!

    Tim

Scanning channels - sorry, the only scan on XM is by category. Kinda makes sense since most people don't want to scan 200 channels.

Map screen - Select Setup and then select General. One of the choices is Auto Screen Change. If it is on, then you will divert back to the Map screen, even when you power down and then back up. If you turn it off, then you will stay on the screen last selected.

    Thanks to jdcollins5 here http://priuschat.com/forums/gen-ii-prius-audio-electronics/75992-turning-off-map.html#post1064487

Hey I didn't know that, thanks, now I can turn off the auto screen change.

Thanks for the insight! I guess I will eventually adjust to the channel surfing once I get familiar with XM stations and groupings.

Atimoth, when in XM mode switch to TEXT mode under the preset buttons that will take you to a screen where you can toggle searching by category or by number.
