With SR? If yes, that is pretty good deal to me.

Finance is based on credit and if you've Tier 1+ credit, then you should be able to get that or better.

We paid sticker for our IV with leather and nav ($28k + change) but that was during C4C when nobody was discounting at all.

I think many people are doing better than that now.

    Hi Jim,

My IV, with SR, with sticker is $32K+. I think without SR is about $1.5K less and still should be $30K, right?

Yes, it is at or below invoice these days.

I paid 29,460, for Blizzard Pearl 2010 Prius, pkg III, leather, Navi & solar roof package, plus a doc. fee + taxes, in mid December 2009, for a special ordered car (light grey interior), before recalls. Buying on Feb. 27 (end of month), with recalls in news and dents in Toyota reliability (not seen yet in my Prius), should allow negotiations at Invoice, minus $$, if U negotiate for a 2010 Prius on the dealer's lot. Tell them U are headed to a Ford dealer to buy their hybrid if Toyota will not deal for you. Good luck.

I don't think he said this car included sunroof/solar option. That would bump the price up considerably.

Also, I think pricing could varry depending upon where this person is, and the availability. If the dealerships in his area have plenty of inventory...then I would expect a lower price compared to ares with minimal inventory.

Package III does not come with leather, right? I think you add the dealer install after market leather about $1,250, right?

I bought my Blizzard Pearl IV with SR less then that last week.

These days, you don't need to do what you described. All you need to do is walk in to their showroom and tell them I want to buy a Toyota and Jack Bauer will come out, lock you down and make sure you walk away with one of their car. They won't let you walk away without a car :p

was quoted to me by the internet sales dept at my local dealership. i also bought my 2007 Package 6 from there too. in february of 07 so hopefully they'll give me a better than avg deal for my loyalty. putting $2k down (didn't tell the dealer this) and i have pretty good credit. (mid 700's). i want blue, IV, w/ leather + navigation. no sunroof or any of the other stuff like the radar etc..the dealer said there were 3 in the region right now. i'm not buying until april. paying off my 4 wheelers and some other things first.

one bad thing is, i just bought a $50k boat. :) i am hoping that's not gonna ruin me for financing.

Bought the IV w/ leather and nav (no SR) on 2/15/10:

$26,549, with 0.0% financing for 60 months, and they threw in the floor mats ($200) for free.

Trade-in on my 2nd Gen Prius was $5800: higher than bluebook, lower than NADA guide (I considered it conservatively at rough condition -- dings and a sizable scrape on the right rear door) and it had just over 100K miles which (the dealership said) made it impossible to finance as a used car.

I was honestly surprised at how busy the dealership was given the recalls.

Do you mean service or sales? If service, I am not surprise at all and I heard few hours waiting these days in the service departmenet but sales floor was pretty empty when I picked up my 1st Prius on 2/9.

Sales. Service was even busier (when I was taken on the obligatory tour), but that didn't surprise me at all. :)

Currently shopping in the Louisville, KY area for a 2010 Model II with no options. Latest offer here is $22,198 less $500 rebate less $500 for Toyota loyalty and 3 years or 40,000 miles complementary routine maintenance. Pretty good and getting more interesting by the day as this area is not big hybrid market. Will still wait a little longer in anticipation of BOGO. :)

GatorJoe, go to www.aaa.com & check their price. Although a Prius will sit on a lot longer the cars on the lots now won't be there in April.

I was just quoted a price of 23,643 for a 2010 Prius III, is this a good price?

    Where did you buy?

We got ours at Ourisman Fairfax last August. Paid sticker, but that was in C4C. Just had it in for the 1st service. They took me the next day even with all the recall stuff. They did the brake software upgrade.

They said they were not going to do the oil change because they had gone to 10k on the Prius. I had them do it anyway because I couldn't be sure what oil came in it from the factory, they use Mobil 1 at the dealer which is OK. I think I'll do my own oil changes in the future with Amsoil.

Do remember to take some of the purchase prices you read here with a grain of salt. Dealers make money on the final car price, the value you will accept on your trade-in, and financing (interest rate).

Someone could get a Package IV with nav that would normally go for $28,000 for $26,500 if they are turning in a desirable car (say a Honda Pilot) for much less than the dealer could sell it for (say they trade it in for $13,000 and the dealer KNOWS that it could turn around and sell it for $16,500). Right there, they've made a $1,000 concession on the final price in order to gain a $3,500 "profit" on the resale of a "previously owned car". Net profit to the dealership is $2,500.

If you hear of prices "better" than yours, inquire more to those individuals to get details of their purchases.

You can check Edmunds.com for some pricing information. You can check Costco (if you are a member) for the "member" pricing. You can get invoice pricing from Consumers Reports. You've got several weeks before you intend to purchase, so you have time to invest in some research.

    Good Luck!
