    Note, in Bold:

    June 10th 2004

    Q. Given recent developments in the C.I.A. leak case, particularly Vice President Cheney's discussions with the investigators, do you still stand by what you said several months ago, suggestion that it might difficult to identify anybody who leaked the agent's name? And ...

    A. That's up …

    Q. And do you stand by your pledge to fire anyone found to have done so? And …

    A. Yes.

    Q. And finally …

    A. And that's up to the U.S. attorney - to find the facts.

    Q. My final point would be - or question would be, has Vice President Cheney assured you, subsequent to his conversations with them, that nobody in his office had anything …

    A. I haven't talked to the vice president about this matter, and I suggest - recently, and I suggest you - you talk to the U.S. attorney about that.

....I've done my research, now do yours!

    P.S.
Fox News is not considered research

Billy, thanks for the context. This changes everything.

Thank God Bush brought dignity and honesty back to the White House.

Right Simmerson, news conference from Scott Mclelland, not from GW. All that happened here is 2 reporters who called and contacted ROVE supposedly to discuss OTHER MATTERS, did a by the way did you hear.... Rove told Novak, yes I heard that too, and to the TIMES reporter, he simply told him in response to a question about WHO send Wilson to Niger, THAT Wilson was claiming Chenney did it, and that was not right, he stated his information indicated it was an internal CIA decision, and that Wilson's wife was involved with that. THAT'S IT.............

So what is the problem here., I don't see the "conspiracy", I don't see White House involvement, I don't see ROVE actually LEAKING the information. This information was leaked to the PRESS (6 reporters) by an unknown person as of this date, but indications are that it came from the NY TIMES. The reporters were trying to sink Novak, by getting him to run the story, and he went to someone he trusted to try and confirm a story he was working on. YOU guys are the ones trying to make something here to embarass this administration. BUSH has not changed his position at all, the Press Secretary was engaged in a back and forth with a bunch of reporters, and was doing his job in trying to respond to these constant trials at entrapping. The problem is this is HOW the Democrats do business in DC., you all need to change your tone, not BUSH,he's constantly trying to take the high road to effect a change in this town.

I guess you did not read my second post. This is George Bush Answering:

    Q. And do you stand by your pledge to fire anyone found to have done so? And …

    A. Yes.

If you are looking for more context, please look two posts back.

These are empty statements as you have given no proof that what you say is anything other than Republican spin. I have put time into finding the two quotes in their context. (Both quotes proving that the president did not say that the agent had to be "ACTIVE" or that a crime must have been committed.)

Please spend some time researching your statements as they are not FACTUAL

I will not change my mind, your democrats will do anything to play with words., I am tired of it, ROVE STAYS, AND most normal people are satisfied you guys failed again. Election results and the constitutional powers and rights of a President to run his administration do not include having to fight a blood thirsty press and people who will do anything to deter his administration. He has clearly stated what will constitute ground for removal from his administration, no one in the White House, and in the real world think Rove did anything under handed. FACTS:

-Origins of the leak come from the Press
-Rove was contacted in all instances and did not initiate any contact
-The full question WAS: ?? the pledge was that BUSH would fire anyone LEAKING THIS INFORMATION, Rove did not LEAK this information

    SAME QUOTE YOU GOT:
    Q. And do you stand by your pledge to fire anyone found to have done so? And …
    A. Yes.

GUESS WHAT...You closed your own case!

    here is your own undoing:

We can play these games all day.., you have a hostile press in a press "conference", and this has happened on both sides, and is one of the things (tone) that GW wanted to change in DC. The reporters are not trying to report news, they trying to MAKE news, and preferrably trying to TRIP UP this administration, reflecting their own political views. I saw and read both your posts, and you can clearly see this, as before with Clinton, and so on. This is how you Democrats like to conduct business and is the TONE here in DC. In Texas things don't work that way, a shake in Texas is a deal, and a deal is a deal, and we don't back stab. It is that way in many places in this country, but perhaps not in CA, MA, NY and the likes in cities. You all are not going to get ROVE get off it, this is getting boring.

I've lived in Dallas for the past 18 years so please don't try to tell me how things in Texas work. I have been raised to hold honesty as a core value, and a true judgement of character. This is a southern value that George Bush does not carry.

Your posts have been borderline rambling and I am assuming you're "getting bored" because you have no facts to back up your highly partisan spin of the Rove scandal. Until you provide proof that anything you say is true, that is how it shall remain.

If his goal is to get people to convert to his views, yes he is clearly "losing".

But if his goal is to disrupt Freds House of Pancakes, then maybe he is quite successful.

Simmerson...I'll say it again, maybe you are not watching the news:

ROVE DID NOT LEAK THIS INFORMATION

AN UNKNOWN SOURCE TOLD 6 REPORTERS, ONE OF WHICH WAS MR NOVAK, AND ONE WAS A TIMES REPORTER.

MR ROVE WAS CALLED BY THESE TWO ON AN UN-RELATED MATTER, AND AT THE END OF THE COMMUNICATION WAS ASKED IF HE KNEW ABOUT IT.

And Simmerson: Texas citizens did elect and re-elect GW Bush as Governor and U.S. President ., and your city is solidly republican and your Senator is republican. You are the minority in your electoral district.

Simmerson, if you have proof, or know who does that ROVE personally exposed and PERSONALLY leaked this information the media, Suggest you contact the Special Proscecutor in Washington DC., he needs that information to make his case against this man.

Unfortunately, typing something in all caps does not make it true. Matt Cooper has already confirmed that Karl Rove and Scooter Libby were his sources for the Plame Leak, Hence, Karl Rove and Scooter Libby leaked Vallerie Plame's name.
Would you like a Matt Cooper quote?

By the way, are you insinuating that because Texas is split 60/40 Democrats are not real Texans?

And No Prius 04., I am not trying to disrupt, but I will be "Darned" if I let these spins come forth. I may be in the 1% minority, but I will still answer some of the most stupid stuff I have ever heard. If you all think I am way right, OK., but at least admit you are WAY left.

The only one spinning here is you. I have provided you with factual information while you continue to say the same RNC talking points over and over again. I've proved my point, I'm still trying to figure out what yours is...

And on Rove., let's just wait and see what the special proscecutor comes up with. If Rove is found to have committed a crime and / or was the principal in developing this leak., then Bush will ACT and we will not have an arguement then, because you will be right. Yes I know about Scooter Libby and the Times guy., wait until the full story comes out. Karl (that is Carl with a K according to MoveOn.org) Rove is not the original source for this leak, and the Times reporter only responded to Grand Jury inquiry that Rove and Libby were confirming sources, (un-be known to them!) The reporter queeried the two to confirm an original source, which he did not have but was passed on to him. Despite your opinions, Karl Rove has never played such games.
