I want to share some upgrade experience with you.

    1. Audio/Video upgrade
Replaced stock CD player with Alpine W505 head unit. Over 1 million pixels, so picture quality from DVD is just amazing. It also comes with Ipod connection kit and it works with my iPhone 3GS like charm. I can play songs, movies from my iPhone and it even shows album art work.
Powerpack from Alpine is attached to the head unit and it is just simple plug and play class D amp. I wanted to avoid complex installation of separate sub woofer and amps.
I swapped stock speakers with Alpine and Boston Acoustics ones and the sound is much better. I am waiting for Boss subwoofer and I hope it will enhance the sound even further.

    2. GPS/rear view cam
I have been using Azentek Smartmirror and basically it is a rearview mirror with Navigon GPS, bluetooth and rear view monitor. I like it so far.

    3. JDM side signal mirror and Blinglight foglight.

    4. Katzkin leather seat and leather steering wheel cover in two tones.

    5. Window tinting and HD low-beam headlight.

Sorry, I might not answer installation specific questions since most of the upgrade was done by the professional installer.

    Now my Prius is rocking!:)

Finally got it done eh. Looks good. You forgot to add the side window deflectors to your upgrade. I'm getting mine soon.

Yes, JDM side window deflector, it works well to me. I was little bit skeptical about its 80's look but it is much slimmer than I thought and it flows well with the rest of the vehicle.

Yes, it is pricey and takes long to get them but they certainly carry quality product. The deflector has engraved Toyota letters and you will love it!

    Very nice!!

You can get the deflectors from Canada too. I'm not sure if they're the same as the Japanese ones.

So you need to cable-connect the iPhone to stream the music and get the screen content? I'd really like the BT to tackle the music and screen content, but I am a dreamer.

That will be cool but cable connection is just fine with me. It also comes with USB connection so one option is you can buy cheap 1 or 2 GB thumb drive and save tons of mp3 files and just leave it in your glove compartment. You can control everything from screen. Also all the controls on the steering wheel is working with swi-jack. For passenger and kid at the rear seat, I also put TR7 which bypasses brake for dvd play and it has been working fine to make them quiet during trip.

I'm not sure but I can give some dealers a call.

Well.. you kinda have to get them up here or have a relative/friend grab it for you and send it down.

If you could do that, that would be totally awesome. I have a paypal account so if you have paypal also, I can send you the money for the deflectors and kick in some $$ for your troubles. Please let me know.

    Much appreciated

201 Motoring (201-435-6069) in NJ. I initially found them through Escort Radar Detectors & Laser Detectors - The Radar and Laser Experts - Escort Inc.. They sell Azentek Smartmirror and 201 motoring happens to be one of their official installers. After first experience with them, I kept visiting them with Blinglight foglight, side signal mirrors and audio upgrade. Ask owner of the store, Frankie. He is very nice and kind person and will treat you very friendly. They are very professional and also have very attractive rate in NJ. Not the cheapest but certainly worthwhile for their service.

No problem at all, you will love it. Honestly, I was little bit skeptical until I got it but I am enjoying it everyday now:)
I want to put it to my 2008 Mercedes C300 Sport if I could find matching quality one.

I just got a 2010 Prius II, and after reading this, I went to Crutchfield to check out that unit, but it says it does not fit if I have the stock stereo. Are they correct, or not?
