That's as good an explanation as any. Evidence:

    1. My favorite Star Trek is the movie era. Also my favorite Enterprise, phaser, and uniforms.

    2. My background novellette, Star Trek: Synergy is set in that period.

Actually, beyond that, the car is a tribute to Star Trek in general, not a specific construction, so I am willing to include elements from all series. I also have little tributes to Star Wars, 2001, Back to the Future (Flux Capacitor in progress), WALL-E, James Bond, Dr. Who, etc. placed through out the interior.

    Don't phase me, bro'.

I bought an extra set of mirror covers. I put them on the car, and used the old beat up set for the fabrication.

The phaser heads were cut off of Phaser II water pistols with a Dremel tool, the cheapest phasers I could find. The back sides of them were shaped with Xacto knife and sandpaper, finished with the sandpaper taped to the surface of the mirror covers.

Holes were drilled in the phaser heads and mirror covers.

The phaser heads are actually upside down from the pistols. The silver grill on the top of the pistol was removed, cut to size and epoxied to the new "top" of the phaser head.

The graphics were done in Photoshop, and printed out and applied at a professional graphics shop.

    MORE TO COME !!

Next, install a main deflector to block your grill from intersteller dust and to engage warp sooner (due to cooling issues of icy dust :p)

    I.e. grill blocking.

    Done.

After receiving clearance from the Bureau of Temporal Investigation, I have assembled and installed a Flux Capacitor. When I get this baby up to 88 MPG, you are gonna see some serious $#!+ !!!.

It also explains how I got a number of other alien artifacts into the shuttle: R2D2, WALL-E, Robby, sonic screwdriver, HAL 9000, etc.

It also explains how the shuttle craft got here in our time. I think. Time travel is confusing. :D

Hope you can make it to Green Drive Expo this year. I'm going to try to make it and I would love to see it again with all the new mods.

Probably not going to make it, but I could stop by you on my way to or from Trekfest, in Riverside, Iowa.

That's awesome! Be sure to chart your day-to-day megazoob flux
and note any anomalies... the high-slope ones can burn out your
phase snubbers if they aren't assimilated quickly.

Love it. Don't listen to the haters. NERDS GOTTA REPRESENT!

I love the flux capacitor, too. Also, the Prius probably has a better chance of actually hitting 88MPH than a DeLorean ;)

One more bit of awesomeness that I have been working on this winter awaits warmer weather.

    WATCH THIS SPACE.

Yes...yes. This is a fertile land, and we will thrive. We will rule over all this land, and we will call it...This Land.

As promised, and after years of thought and planning, dealing with four contractors, one false start, spending more money than I care to admit publicly, and waiting several weeks for warm enough weather for the installation, I have finally replaced THIS:

    [IMGLINK]http://www.willieyee.info/Toyota-logo-front.jpg[/IMGLINK]

    with THIS:

    [IMGLINK]http://www.willieyee.info/Starfleet-logo-front.jpg[/IMGLINK]

Nobody wants to be seen driving a Toyota around these days anyhow.

So now its an official Starfleet vehicle. :D

I think the only Toyota emblem left is the one on the steering wheel. Think you can get that one replaced without interfering with the air bags? :)
