just picked up my Prius lease today(southern california) for $248 tax incl, $700 D/O PKG III, 15K/yr, blizzard white with just floor mats and cargot blind. I wish my wife had waited couple weeks so she could've gotten the same deal i got today. we're paying $238 $2000 D/O 15K/yr on her Insight. oh well.. you win some, you lose some...

on a side note, i love the way the Prius drives! Insight feels so clunky.
on another note, coming from an Integra type R then Subaru STI, then my most recent 04 BMW M3, this Prius is such a huge change! completely changes my driving habits! still not used to it yet.:(
but i'm sure i'll get used to the MPG real soon!!!;)

Are you sure you got a package III and not a Package II?

What was your MSPR and cap Cost?

The numbers you are quoting seem impossible for a PKG III, unless you are getting something like 1500 below invoice or more.

    Hi Vajratlr!

I recently test drove an insight and agree it feels a bit clunky especially when it comes to a stop. The engine will make slight thump... I am in socal too and was wondering which dealership did you get your deal from? Thanks

Did you have to wheel and deal with him? Or was it pretty straight forward... Need to pick up a lease for my wife. Funny enough i was going to get the insight for myself and lease the prius for the wifey.

It was fairly straight forward, very easy to deal with! I suggest you get two Priuses, I would if I could redo the Insight lease. it just drives so much nicer!!! The auto stop on the Insight is very sub par in comparison. test drive both and you'll know what I mean if you haven't already done so.

Well… with my previous three cars, they were all race oriented. And in addition to that, I love to modify my cars, i.e. full suspension upgrade, turbo upgrade, what have you… so I definitely enjoyed hugging corners and probably very heavy on the gas. With the Prius, all that is gone, no point to modify since it’s all about practicality. I find myself very fuel conscious especially when taking off from a stop. We buy Priuses because we want to save gas for the most part. With that in mind, you hate to see that MPG gauge drops below the half way mark. so I don’t pass cars as often as before… maybe I’m doing this because it’s my 2nd day owning it, my driving habits could come back, who knows… but then again, it’s not like I can drive the Prius like my previous cars since there’s not a lot of power on tap and the handling of course is no where near either.

    Congrats! Wow, that's pretty good!

might wanna change the package to N/A. Clearly, you're in SoCal, not Europe ;)

You got a great deal. For $10 per month, you get a superior car that is a class higher.

Is that lease deal better than paying straight cash for the car?

What is the effective interest rate at the end of the lease period if you elect the buyout option?
