I have a Gen III Prius and today I had some of the oddest things happen.

1st while I was driving, normal city driving, I had the heat on the lowest fan setting, and suddenly the fan setting turned all the way up. I always have it in the manual setting, never automatic so I know that wasn't the issue. Anyway, I turned it back down and it stayed. I didn't really think anything of it until later today.

This afternoon I was getting into the car, I pressed the unlock button on the key and opened the door. Suddenly the horn started honking (I don't have an alarm system). I got in, not knowing what to do, so I just pressed the power button and it stopped (though not before I got stares from everyone around me).

In the past I've had that recalled breaking issue, which I have an appointment for tomorrow, but could all of this be indicative of a larger software problem?
Has anyone else had this happen?

    Re: the horn honking.
I had the same thing happen to me today. As I got into the car I put my house keys (needed to open the garage door) back in my pocket and the horn started honking. The house keys and car keys are on different keyrings but I keep them in the same pocket and as I sat in the car, the house keys must have pushed against the panic button on the car's keyfob and started the horn blaring. Pressing the power button stopped the horn.
    Maybe this explains your siituation?
