I recently installed a DICE Silverline on my 2008 Prius with Package #2. The DICE unit seems to function OK for a while and than it stops. I was not able to figure out what triggers the unit to stop. I get just the ATTACHED message on the display (instead of the song or album name) and the DICE screen disappears from the IPOD. If I disconnect (unplug the power) the DICE unit it starts working again. I tried several switches positions, using the SAT or MP3 output but the same problem occurs. I also disconnected the battery a few times. The DICE tech supoprt is lame, they suggested to reset my IPOD. I'm using the last model of the IPOD classic. Anybody have similar issues? Any advice before returning the unit? Thanks.

I just came across your post, and smiled after having put in TWO different DICE units and experiencing the same results. After 7-15 minutes of working, the radio would freeze and stop recognizing anything was plugged in the CD changer port. I called the DICE support line and asked them about this and they said (more or less) "Sorry, our product doesn't really work that well with your model. You can return it and consider purchasing it later if a new model is released. Thanks, bye."

If you are considering buying a DICE unit for the Prius... DON'T!
Even their reps say it won't work.

i Have a 2008 prius with the basic stereo (no sat/no aux).
it really works flawlessly. both the changing to ipod control or deck control with the simple switch of the lock on the ipod.

the bad thing is when youre in a playlist, you cant go to the next song.
    (it'll advance to next playlist)
but otherwise, well worth the money
