    Received the new schedule today.

I received a phone call some time ago from the dealer about the recall. It was at an inconvenient time so I'm at 4,000 miles now. I'll probably have it done with the 5,000 mile service.

I received my revised schedule today - when I was at the dealer 3 weeks ago for my 5,000 mi oil change I asked about the 10,000 mile interval and they said they had heard about it, but you had to have the Toyota 0x20 synthetic oil to qualify. I still gave him the Mobil-1 I had brought with me:).

got my recall notice today, picked it up form the mailbox on my way home from the dealership, after the recall work was done.

I also received a notice in the mail that I will be getting my census docs on the mail next week. thanks for pi$$ing my tax dollars away. LOL

Got my letter, and booklet in the mail today, Pennsylvania. Heard that if you'd already gotten the 5,000 mile service, Toyota'd give you a voucher for the next one free. My dealer already gave me a voucher for $50 off the next service, when I took the car into have the brake update done. The service is $60, so it's essentially free now at 10,000 miles. Traded the car in on a VW Golf, though. Got a little bored with the Prius. Hit 42mpg on the highway with the Golf before refilling the tank for the first time Sunday. Had gotten 32, and 34 mpg on city/back road driving the night before. Now, full tank, possibly different brand of gas, getting 30.7 highway mpg. EPA rated 23/30mpg on regular unleaded. Fun little car to drive. Miss the Prius sometimes, but this has a more solid feel, German kind of engineering. Five-cylinder, 170 hp in a little car. Very satisfying to drive. No regrets about having had the Prius.

As of yesterday, there is no such change in Canada yet. I checked with the dealer yesterday - no news for the same yet.

I received the letter and maintenance book today in western Oregon. Dealer notified me nearly a month ago about the brakes. They get fixed this Thursday. Will get the first oil change at 5000, then 10K intervals. Service writer at dealer knew of the 10K change when I called them last week.

Giot my envelope today, dated 2/25/2010

current miles so far: 2300 miles
avg mpg: poor 44.9 (very local street driving)

I am driving very slow, all the time in ECO mode, and humm I am glad drivers in this city are so nice, don't flash, don't buzz, don't tail, don't yell anything.

already performed the ABS ECU recall.

Received the OCI change notice in Saturday's mail along with a new Prius 2010 Warranty and Maintenance Guide reflecting the new 10,000 mile interval. Haven't received the Brake recall letter yet, but I am waiting to see the longer term affect of this "Fix" before I get it done. Sometimes the "medicine" is worse than the illness! I have "felt" the braking problem one time while stopping as I was passing over a railroad crossing - not a big problem.

I just received my letter and revised maintenance book yesterday, March 8th. Glad to hear a little bit of good news from Toyota instead of their excuses and problems.

I just checked the Toyota website and looked at the maintenance book posted there. It sill has 5,00 miles as the OCI.

got mine yesterday... when was the news first leaked about the 10k OCI? back in Oct IIRC, I took it in for the 5k and they were already telling me that their computer indicated I didn't need an oil change until 10k as mine came with 0W20, but since I had prepaid maintenance they did the other services and reset the light

let me know of your experience, but my take is that free maintenance includes other services beyond the oil change that I could take advantage of... then again, the dealer where my coupon is valid is out of the way for me, so I'm actually not making full use of it every 5k
