Trying to upgrade to 9.1

    I have an '08 Prius with NAV and the original 7.1 NAV DVD. I downloaded a 'file' that shows this as the title:

    Lexus NAV Gen 5 9.1. I successfully burned it to a Verbatim DVD+R DL and Memorex DVD+R DL.

    Both times, when I put them in the drive, the display shows a logo with System Loading, and a yellow status bar along the bottom for about 20 seconds, then it gives the darn error:

    Unable to read map data.
    Please check your map DVD.

    Does anyone know if this ISO is supposed to work for my car? Does anyone know if this error means the burn did not work?

    A number of us went down the same road, with no joy. It's the wrong ISO for our Prius Gen 5 NAV. Another PriusChatter posted:

    V 9.1 Nav Update Discs for Prius
    Toyota Part # Part # disc Year
    86271-GEN04-09 86271-33049 2004-2005
    86271-GEN05-09 86271-53024 2006-2009
    86271-GEN06-09 86271-73011 2010-2011

    There is another ISO that shows the right part number but it hasn't worked for me either. I am trying to find out if anyone else had success:

    I made another DVD from this ISO tonight and will try it tomorrow.

    There is a file in running around in the torrent cloud. It is "Prius NAV Gen 5 9_1_464210-1380.iso" and it looks to be the correct ISO for the Prius Gen 5 DVD. The update is to 9.1.

    There are no seeders, but I will keep checking.

    Now that I look at the file name portion 464210-1380. This looks like the same Lexus Nav Gen5 9_1.iso that does not work as far as I know. Hmmmm...

    What's the fix for upgrading the Nav data but keeping the override ability?
