I'm going to be replacing my 15" ugly stock wheels on my Prius IV with new MoMo 17" wheels and Eagle GT tires this Saturday. I'll post some pictures of the look this weekend along with any observation of mpg/feel changes. Should improve the look of the car a lot as its the only thing I'm not to fond of on the new Prius style.

    :)

cool - post some nice pics!

and before you swap go about 45mph and make a note of your MPG then do the same after you get your new wheels/tires.

I did the same thing for my 2008 by putting on OEM 17 inch Scion Rims. I took a 6+MPG hit with a rougher and noisier ride- more noticable on the freeway. The handling and stability and looks were much better with the 17's. I have since switched back to stock.

Today I replaced my 15"s and picked up a set of 17" Enkei EDR9 wheels in Matte Black with Felken ZE912 tires (215/45/17). The wheels weigh 20.4 pounds each. I wasn't sure about putting black wheels on my Blue Ribbon car but was really happy to see the result.

I will post another picture when the car gets a bath and the sun comes out, and will let you all know if I take much of a mileage hit. I've had snow tires on my 15"s since October so I'm not expecting too much of a difference in mpg.

Wheels look good! What is the offset? Is the car lowered?

Geez, didn't mean to "jack" the thread. I didn't think the forum needed yet another thread started with the same topic, so very sorry.

Anyway, the car's not lowered and the offset is +38mm.

I'm down for anything that has the spokes extended all the way to the outer rim. It gives the perception of the wheels having a wider diameter and it looks great when rolling.

I replaced my stock rims with 15" Motegi SP 10 in matte black, because I didn't want to void my warranty for my 2010 Prius IV. I wanted to preserve ride comfort as much as possible. I used Tire Rack as a catalogue and my local dealer met the prices. No one had them in stock to look at.

I too decided to stay with 15 inch wheels. Went with ELbrus 102 wheels W/ 5 spokes. Been a spoke man for years. If you want to see the wheels go to Tire Rack site and you can even dial in the color of your car. JWB

After a lot of looking I too like the look of the Elbrus I02 (15"). Any feedback since you have had them? MPG, ride, wear, etc?
    Did you change tires too?

    Thanks
