Does anyone have a close-up photo of the U.S. version of the all-weather cargo mat (i.e. as good a picture as Tideland submitted for the Canadian mat)? I would like to see it before spending the money. Thanks!

A follow-up question to my post. Is there an all weather cargo mat that will cover the whole back area when the seats are folded down? Alternatively, and even better, is there an additional piece to what is already available to cover the "front" area of the cargo space when the back seats are folded down.

Finally, while I'm asking questions: do the rear head rests come out? If so, this will make it easier to put stuff in and out of the floor area behind the front seats (again, when the rear seats are folded down). I keep the driver's seat pretty far forward, so there is lots of space there. However, with the headrest jutting into the space, it makes it hard to lift things (like a box) in and out.

I really appreciate the help of the Priuschat members. Thank you.

The head rests come out (at least on the 2004-2009 model, I assume they didn't change that). The back seat folds nearly flat, the front passenger seat can be made to fold a little less flat (by taking its head rest off and moving it forward). But neither seat is perfectly flat, and I haven't heard of a cargo mat for the back of the back seats (what would happen when you fold the seat up to its normal position?).

I have an old blanket I throw on this section for when I put my mtn bike in there. My cargo liner looks pretty similar to tideland's, but the squares are bigger (I think there's a pattern in the middle part) and it's a lighter color, but the shape and the lip are the same.

Yes, the rear headrests come out on the 2010.
Not only that they also fold forward when pulled part way out so that you do not have to remove them to fold the seats down.

Yes. It's available as an OEM accessory but in Japan. Sigma Automotive (.com) can order it for you.

Yes. Lift the headrests all the way up. However, don't fold them forward. Press the other release clip to completely remove the headrest.

The Oz Itech does not come with a spare wheel, just a compressor and tyre sealant can. You do get the jack and wheel wrench. Its all in a neat plastic unit that holds it all in place. Consequently there is plenty of room there for things like jumper leads etc. I also carry a polyweave ground mat to put on the ground if I have to work on a wheel.
Then above that goes the plastic tub unit which stores coats, sunhats, umbrella and torch plus extra shoes when touring.
Then the normal floor covers it all up I finally have a car that I can keep the load area clear unless touring or shopping.

Good hint, never thought about it.
The problem with the cover of the underneath space is that you have no place to store it, if you are not home where you can keep it. In this way you can keep it in the trunk and use the extra height available...

PS: my problem is that I have the plastic protective mat - and that is so snug and relatively stiff, that to move that can be an issue...(you know, folding it and then it springs back to shape, you start swearing, and it then starts to rain and people start looking at you ("ahhh, the guy has problems with the "brakes/accelerator/Toyota quality/they are all going to die in that thing" (pick one)....") type of looks... ;)
