I finally felt the braking change over that people have mentioned. I was slowing down in a construction zone where the asphalt had been ground up. Then all of a sudden there was a feeling like my brakes had let go, and then they came right back on. I would say it only lasted about 1/4 second. A bit odd feeling but not scary.

I have had the fix done to my car, so I guess this is the post fix sensation. Wonder how it would have felt before I had the fix done.

Heightened awareness is part of the ownership experience.

It's amazing how loud other vehicles next to you become when your sitting at a light in a Prius that's dead silent.

Awareness of engine use become pronounced over time too. You just naturally home into the RPM change when accelerating and of course when it shuts off while driving.

It felt the same, only for a longer period of time, which made it more disturbing for people. Now, it is very quick in comparison.

Your head would have exploded, your house caught on fire, and all of your friends and relatives would have been stricken with a pox.

I can vouch for this. Now my friends are upset and it's difficult to wear a hat. That's the price you pay for driving a Prius.

Are you still talking about the Prius braking issue, or is there some kind of hanky panking going on?
