So I get off work and start home but have to sit on a light or two. I started getting this weird sensation like the car was trying to take off/let go, shaky stuff..........

All this bad press had me worried :p......nothing is wrong with the car (no surprise there, right??) We were experiencing a fairly good earthquake which I understand was centered in Baja!

6.9 in northern Mexico. Just had another jolt but things are good. People left their residences though, it was stronger then we are used to.

Yeah, I am sitting in my office, start swaying in my chair......start getting into it..wait a minute it's a BIG earth quake, far away.,. all low frequency rumble and roll stuff. It was still a cool ride. No Damage here....!!

All these aftershocks all over the place are interesting however!!!

Google earth v5.0 with real time earthquake info is very useful...

    Darn MN flatlands....Never any excitement!

Then again, those Californians haven't had the 10 below blizzards we get either...they're really missing out!

Good to see that the quake damage is minor.

The reason I live in Los Angeles, is because Interstate 10 STOPPED at the shoreline in Santa Monica... I was planning on driving to Honolulu!

The day I left Wisconsin at age 27, we had just gone through another 3 day BLIZZARD, there was 12 foot drift in the front yard..... I have done the -37° ACTUAL thing, not wind chill, but true -37° F..reallyhated that....27 years of this freezeing crap, ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!!

NO, I am "NOT MISSING A THING"!!!
It was 82° and SUNNY on Christmas Day!!!
I LOVE LA, shakers and all!!:D

I'm not sure we'll see it that cold ever again. Hell, this year, we didn't even have snow in March for the first time since modern record keeping. 80 degrees on April 1st felt truly like April Fool's from mother nature.

But wait till the southwest 110+ degrees this summer and we're a comfy 85!
