"high pressure sales" says it all. Sounds bogus to me.

Guys/ gals - ever use nail polish remover? Much of it is acetone based. It isn't too big of a deal in small doses. And seriously, if you've ever used brake cleaner or gotten anywhere near toluenes/ xylenes/ other aromatics, you were in much more danger.

Very low amounts of toluene, xylene, other functional aromatics are teratogens and carcinogens. Those you want to be extra careful with!

There are many products sold out there in the market place,Just like with any business it is really hard to prove your product or service right? It seems to me that most if not all the posters on this thread have had their mind made up form the start...hmmm did not Christopher Columbus have opposition about the world being round. Just a thought.

His detractors thought his value for the circumference was too small, which it was.
Christopher Columbus - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

(Like reports of gas mileage in the UK being wrong for the US, the Imperial gallon is 5/4 the US gallon, Columbus was incorrectly using the Arabic mile (about 1,830 m) instead of the Italian mile (1,238 meters) in his calculations)

Fortunately, there was an unexpected blockage in the ocean route to India and China.

If you can't prove your product or service does anything, I am ready to call that useless.

Acetone is produced naturally in the body and the liver has enzymes to handle it. It takes a lot to harm you, like drinking it. The danger with it is that it will push any contaminants on the skin through it into the bloodstream. Keep it off of skin, especially greasy or dirty hands, by wearing nitrile gloves, and wear safety glasses to protect the eyes. I tried it in my 1994 Prius, and got really bad mileage for a few tankfuls afterwards. I think sensors got strange readings with it, and that threw off the fuel metering. So I can tell you it won't work in a Prius, though it does nicely in many carbureted engines.

I'm going to buy Mileage Maxx and try it, and I'll post what happens with my 1994 Prius with nearly 90,000 miles on it, in a couple of weeks. It's suppposed to be good for the engine, having detergents and water dispersing agents and top-oil type fuel system lubrication in it, as well as the surface tension reducing agents. It's supposed to extend engine lifespan. Though Mileage Maxx is proven in diesel engines to average 22% improvement in mileage, I don't know about a gasoline burning Prius so I'll find out with mine and let you all know.
I read that it will make any existing fuel leaks leak faster, and that it can cause faster clogging of the fuel filters at first use. My fuel filters are old and should be replaced anyway. I'll be looking carefully for any new leaks just in case.

How does this crap thread keep getting resurrected? Isn't it just about time for a thread lock to keep the (ZOMG social-media) marketing people away?

Wow, my bullshit meter is going to 11 with all the salesman crap going on here.

1994 prius? That's totally bullshit. There IS NO 1994 prius. It wasn't even built until 1995 - and even then, it was only limited to a concept car, a prototype. The first production model - sold only in Japan - was released in 1997.

Heck, I don't even think any prius model has a fuel filter either. What a scam.
