I am going to second PikRok's plea to end the political stuff. There are lots of websites where both sides can go and convince themselves of the wisdom of their positions. If you don't knock it off, I am going to simply overwhelm this mere political debate by posting an attack on Apple. You haven't seen a forum debate until you've seen one of those!

Hi there Mr. Whitacre. Glad to see you have finally enough time to join us. You paid big money to PR news agencies to spread mistruths about Toyota. If you spent all that energy trying to get GM to produce better cars you might not be such a liability to the US tax payer.
PS: You guys are never gonna pull that Volt thing off.

 

A little early for April Fools. However, I imagine something close to this happens all the time. Saw a guy just this morning driving and staring at his iPhone, texting or typing. A key safety feature of the Prius in the above situation would be to intentionally injure the driver at least enough to end his or her driving career. That would be a safety feature for the rest of us, especially pedestrians dressed in brown pants and a green shirt - easily mistaken for a tree.

I bet it IS in the manual.

 

I had an office mate who believed car companies should do away with the air bag in the steering wheel and replace it with a 12 GA shotgun shell. If you hit something the shell would go off in your chest. He thought that would make everyone a VERY careful driver. Personally, I think they should make cars so safe you can't get hurt in a crash. The we could go around crashing into things at top speed for the fun of it. After all, why pay those outrageous insurance premiums if we can't get something out of them?

 

A real-life version of the bumper cars?? I LIKE IT!!
