    Police Search For Female Bank Robber

    FAIRFAX, Va. -- Police are searching for a woman who they said robbed a Fairfax bank Monday morning.

    A woman implied that she had a gun when she robbed the Provident Bank, located at 11721 Lee Highway, at about 9:45 a.m. The teller gave the robber an undisclosed amount of cash and the woman fled the bank.

    Police are searching for Peggy Membreno, 42, in connection with the robbery. She was described as about 5 feet 8 inches tall and 220 pounds with short, blonde hair and hazel eyes. Investigators said she may be driving a silver or gray Toyota Prius.

    Membreno is wanted for robbery and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony.

    She must have done it to pay for gas, er, I mean to offset the gass guzzler tax, er, I mean because she didn't get the tax credit, er, I mean. . . Oh Hell, she was bored.

    Yeah, Smasho. Someone needs to explain to her that even though they can't HEAR you, they can still SEE you.

    Just think... she'll be able to go 500 miles before having to risk being seen at a gas station. Assumming she, you know, feathers the throttle and anticipates stops. I can hear the police now, "She has a Prius! Cordon off a 500 mile radius!"

    You know, with a couple of five gallon gas cans in the back, she could get very, very far....

    Good thing it wasn't in LA, or else there would be a chase on TV that lasted for days...

    Tony are you off your meds? that's just crazy!
    All I can say is she picked the wrong car to get away in, she needed something inconspicuous and a Prius isn't.
    Wonder what it'll go for at police auction? Maybe a bargain about to happen here.

    Yea Frank H.., there's bound to be a good deal there, people around here say I have a tree hugger special, that goes dead on I-10 going 70, that has to be plugged in, and besides that gets blown off the road, with any truck.
