    Hi everyone,

I noticed the bluetooth for the phone works like a charm in terms of receiving calls. I have a HTC Touch Pro with sprint and noticed with the auto sync bluetooth that the phone book fades on and off. Is there anyway to keep a solid connection where the phone book, contacts,etc.. stays constant?

    Thanks in advanced.

Define fading? Do you mean while you are on the phone, the book on the display goes away and display that you are on a call instead of the phone book, ? Or do you mean the image is actually fading away and displaying bright enough to read any more?

    Sorry should have been clearer.

I should say fading in and out while i am on the detailed phone screen. The only option i can select at times is the call history button. Perhaps this is a safety mechanism that i can't use the contacts or dial out while the car is moving?

    Correct.

Many functions are disabled whenever the vehicle is in motion.

Gotcha, What you are referring to is 'graying out' the buttons. This is done when the car is moving over three miles per hour (not sure at what Km speed it will lockout). This can be solved by simply slowing down to under this level.

You will be able to program 6 presets per screen (for a total of 18 over three screens), and these will remain available to you as you drive. They simply gray out the contacts display in the same manner as they do many other features on the NAVI system. This is a 'safety feature' and not a bug (at least to them). If nothing else, they should allow a front seat passenger to manipulate this screen, but I suppose it would have added to the costs to have this configured this way.

Also, if you want to dial a number while moving and it is not a preset, you can use the Voice Commands to do this.

You will need to read the Nav Manual about the Voice Commands. Basically, you press the Voice Command button on the steering wheel, say Phone and then Dial by Name or Dial by Number, then say the name or the number.
