Living in the desert the plastic head light covers are starting to show damage from UV exposure. Can the outer covers be replaced or do I have replace the entire headlamp?

    Thanks,
    Carl

    Hi Carl,

I suggest that you go to your local discount auto parts store and buy a small bottle of plastic polish. That may help to remove the haze on your plastic headlamp lenses.

Agreed. Much cheaper than replacing anything and almost as good with a little effort, even without using a polishing machine.

I have tried the headlight polish and it usually works very well. Most of the kits have a special buffing wheel

I haven't tried this one, but a Google had it pop up

    Headlight Restoration Kit | System

    Hope this helps

Thanks everyone. I'll pick up one of those kits and give it a try.
