Has anyone removed these plastics? I need to pull the one between front and rear doors for speaker wire access, and need to pull the rear for tweeter placement (putting component speakers in the rear).

    TIA!

Why don't you use existing wiring? That is what i did.

I will start new thread about component speaker and tweeter installation.

I'm not putting the tweets in the door - I want to place then back in the C pillar firing forward. This requires removing the said plastics...

Since it isn't really documented, I'll go through the process for the rear panels...

I do recommend a good plastic pry tool - you need it... I also recommend getting extra plastic 'snap in clips' - to replace ones that get damaged during this process.

Removal is pretty straight forward once you know what to do.

    1. Side covers where the vent is in the back seat - both sides. You need a 12mm socket - there is one bolt at the base of each plastic. Then gently grab the thing and pull up - there is a catch (similar to the snap in clips) that is mounted vertically - this is why you pull up - it is 3/4 of the way up behind the plastic.

    2. Remove the C pillars - one screw for each at the rear, probably 10 plastic snaps holding it in. Work your way around it - it comes off like a door panel...

    For lower panel removal
    1. Remove plastic latch cover at the rear (the plastic thing that the door closes on) - it just snaps off.
    2. Remove rear storage cover, battery covers etc
    3. Remove 4 10mm bolts (with tie-down hooks). There are two strange plastic clips on each side at the back near the hatch - you can pull the panel back to see them - use a pry bar to unsnap them - they are similar to any other snaps. Drivers side also has a connector for the light. It should now pull out.

I'll try to post what pics I have later...

Why are you putting tweeters in the back of people's heads? Are you trying to create a surround sound system (5.1 or something?)? If so, then i would study up on how Mark Levinson or Harman kardon does it in other cars. I don't think that they use tweeters for surround speakers.
