How does one connect a camera to Prius so you can see the back on the display?

Not easily. There is a thread about a PriusChatter installing it, however.

Personally, I'm waiting for Coastal Dave's Viewtech 2005 to finally be available (I have it on pre-order) which I hope will simplify the install on the MFD side and add other features like RCA inputs for video and audio and maybe be compatible with an iPod interface he's also working on. I wouldn't hold your breath, tho'. The 6-8 weeks that's on his website has been the ETA for maybe 6-8 months (I maybe exaggerating a bit, but if I am, not by much...)

It's said that for months. Further down it says (also for months)...

[hr:c9e595b1c2]The price for the 2005 Viewtech Kit is $299.00 + shipping.
when available with delivery in 6-8 weeks.
    [hr:c9e595b1c2]

And if it was truly available, I would or at least someone would have one (no one does other than Coastal Dave) since I (and others) have them on order. I wrote pre-order above since they aren't actually available.

Now, I don't mind waiting patiently. I just wish the website had a more accurate ETA.

Jeez, I barely hit "Submit" and I get an e-mail saying there's an update! :p

I think by here, he means he's finished development. Previously it was "coming soon" when it was in development. And I agree, it is confusing. I went through the same thoughts a few months back, but then read all the text in the two or three webpages about the Viewtech 2005 and what posts I could find on PriusChat and that cleared it up for me. As soon as someone receives one, you can probably bet safe money that we'll see a post about it with active discussion about it here. :p

I have the video converter and am awaiting delivery of a camera. When it arrives I will be installing Frenchie's reversing camera mod (actually he will be doing it and I will assist, or hinder  )

Photos & report when its done, probably in September.
