Has anyone pressed SOS by mistake? Be honest.

I nearly did a few times when trying to press the sunroof switch.

Has anyone actually needed to use it? How was the service?

My wife did it. Same scenario - trying to close the sunroof. The operator was very nice about it. Nope, haven't needed it yet - but it's nice to know it's there.

It is, although I will probably not pay for it once the free year is up.

I pressed it just to see if it really worked. It does. And I was pleased that the service gives you a chance to cancel the call when you do that. If it hadn't done that, I would have been really embarassed.

I do not have SOS on my car but on a rental Malibu I hit the OnStar button twice on the first night trying to hit the overhead light. I did not see a way to cancel the call. The same operator answered both times and was extremely nice.

After the second call, she just started a conversation saying that we may as well talk if I was going to keep calling her :p

I have pressed and cancelled it too. I do want to let it connect once to make sure all is working...even thought I had it registered at the dealership. Fidnign out it isn't right at the time of need would be a bad thing.

BTW, how much is the service after the free year?? I'm debating whether to keep it.
